Bad Company II : Initial Impressions

Hi guys. i received my copy already (2 hours back actually, nextworld.in is too good). However it is taking very long to update. How big is the initial update?
 
The initial upgrade is around 200mb.

I am getting my a$$ kicked in this. I empty almost all rounds of my magazine and still the guy is not dead. I am only killing infantry with armored vehicles and tanks. Need to get some more practice.

The scene release was 265 mb so it should be about that much.
 
Can I use the scene release to patch my genuine game and play online? The update has failed twice. After continuing for 1-2 hours and showing the progress around 50% it just says the file not found(or something like that) and forces me to play without updating. But then I am not able to play either.

Are you referring to the campaign mode?

Playing on PS3 , MP is a blast , haven't even started SP yet.

If u guys have the PS3 version and wanna play MP with Indians regularly , come to IVG , we have around 40+ guys playing it daily just like KZ2. :)
 
Its about 300MB...... The scene update will NOT work on your game........ Dont use it.... I tried.... Failed.........

Actually, my game did not update two times and on the third try it did, so in the meanwhile I tried the scene wala patch... Did not work....

You Moron, I am asking to NOT do it................... Because it does NOT work with the legit game........... You read "The scene" and automatically assume that I am encouraging piracy............ Learn to read............. Loser

Whenever you run the game the game tries to look for an update and if found, patches the game automatically. But on many legit copies it is giving trouble, including mine. What happpened in my case was that the game found an update, the patch ran for an hour and then told me that the file is not available. It finally got patched on the third try.

If you wanna bypass this update procedure, go to your installation directory and run bfbc2game.exe, which is the executable for running the game. It will take you directly to the game. but the catch is that you cant play MP unless your game is patched to the latest version. What I would suggest is keep trying till it gets patched. Might take 3 or more tries, but then such is life dearies...........

LOL. No offense, but please read my query and his response so that you are able to give a rational response.

BTW, I am running this game on my current rig at 1920X1080 resolution and medium settings. Seems to be running fine up till now. Actually, lower resolutions are not covering the whole screen. I hate playing like that.

I don't have time to read your piracy lectures.If you were telling him to avoid it then its good , I apologize for my mistake. :)

I have seen this type of stuff openly discussed before as well on TE.
