I think its some error at BSNL end while activating the SIM. Maybe the number / sim got assigned the wrong speed profile.

I submitted a complaint numerous times and every other day I get a call from BSNL too asking what the issue is, but they don't seem to understand the actual problem however I try to explain it to them! :(

The easier and faster option is to get another sim from a different CSC. :P
 
Btw, MDMA is showing some error for my E173. I tried downloading and installing the driver for Win 7 from MDMA site itself but in vain. Any help ? :(

today i've tried another SIM ..same story..locked at 256 kbps :\

( its from the same CSC though.. cos its the one and only CSC at my place which sells microSIMs but i picked a card from a different series of numbers )

should i call customer care or smth..to lift my speed? : S

Bad luck mate. But I think its cause the guy at the CSC is activating it incorrectly or something which is why I suggested to try a different CSC. In my case I went to the CSC about 2-3 times and complained and then sent an email to all the email ids I could find of people incharge of the CSCs in my area.

I got a call a yesterday or so saying they have finally fixed the issue (I took the connection about a month back though :rofl:) with my SIM but didn't bother checking it yet as I am happy with the other one. :P
 
Guys one small problem, whenever I try to use the bsnl Ipad Micro-sim in my LG optimus one, I get no sim card inserted error.

Anyone here using BSNL ipad sim & LG O1 properly?

Any solution to this bcoz the same micro-sim with adapter works absolutely fine in all Nokia, Samsung & Moto phones or even modems :(
 
@iPad microsim users,

Where do you normally recharge your number ? Today I tried with a retailer and several times the recharge got failed. Freaky told me I have to go to the CSC to get it recharged. But before that, I want to know whether any of you succeeded with streetside retailer or online with the 999/- recharge ?

Another thing is after you recharge, how much data balance is shown when you send DATA 3G to 53733 ?

^ I did it from a local shop which does mobile recharges.

I recharged mine first week of June and then yesterday I recharged siril_k's number from the same shop as he said the recharges done from a CSC near his place also failed. :P

For me the free usage data balance is shown when I check the balance but it doesn't decrease at all on usage.

The 19 MB was part of the free monthly data allowance, and after recharging for Rs 999 the night limit came up but there is no change in the number yet. Yes I recharged my Chennai SIM from a shop in Cochin! :)
 
Yesterday my sim got fried for no apparent reason. Took a new sim , got activated also.

But the problem is Speed has been limited to 1024 Kbps as per MDMA. Previously it was 4MBps.

Could any one please tell me a quick solution for this since there are only 2 weeks remaining for the end of my 6 month unlimited plan and the usual complaining and following up process atleast takes a month.
