I had read somewhere that OVI suite has better usb modem drivers then nokia pc suite and for newer phones.So i suggested that.But one thing is sure the problem is somewhere else.Even on USB 3G modems plugged in to windows/linux same problem occurs.How frequent are the disconnections for you ? I have them around once an hour if downloading heavily.

When you insert the e122 you should see 2 drives added in your Computer.One will say mobile partner and other will be for the microsd card.Right click the mobile partner > click install or autorum it. It will install the necessary drivers. Reboot your system afterwards. Then open mobile partner software and add the apn as bsnlnet.Click connect.

Is your mobile number activated ? Meaning can you call to your new mobile number ? If yes then your sim is activated. DO you get a 3G signal in your phone ? 3G or 3.5G whichever. You need to enter the apn as "bsnlnet" to start browsing on your mobile. If using nokia phone turn on "UMTS".
Well its not disconnection but inactivity for downloading.
Happens when speeds are high.
After say 15 minutes or when speed tries to overshoot data transfer becomes zero.
I have to manually disconnect and re connect for transfer to begin.
Also using ovi suite do you suggest to uninstall all drivers along pc suite?
Like the cable connectivity drivers etc?

I am able to make call and receive call, I have saved bsnlnet settings and phone turned to UMTS. I can see 3.5G signal on my Nokia N8. Even CC exective confirmed that number is active now.
BTW how can i check available data on new 3G sim.
 
I have installed mobile partner and added bsnlnet as APN but when I try to connect it says "The Device has been disconnected or is unavailable"

For me the mobile partner file size is 9.78MB. The screenshot shows 21.6 MB. Am I missing any files
 
@ggt ... yeah try a full uninstall and reinstall of all the drivers associated with your mobile phone. In my case its not inactivity,it gets disconnected and the connection dialogue box pops up.By setting it up to redial auto it just flashes on the taskbar and the connection gets re-established.So there is gap of 10-15 seconds of data download.Doesnt matter much in torrents though or resume-able download managers.

Some people can check their usage by dialing *123*6# or *123# , in some cases you get sms back with your account usage.Different circles have different implementations.For me as I m in UL plan I get nothing back.When for a brief time I was out of any plans I used to get sms'es once I stopped my net on the phone with the remaining balance and all.

State from which circle you are and your fellow circle users might be able to help you out on this. Although you have received all the settings and such, please confirm if the apn used is bsnlnet only and not some other.

My circle is Maharashtra and i have checked with *123# and it shows only account balance.
I have used bsnlnet as APN. I cant figure out what is the problem. I have tried opera, fring to check whether there is problem with other apps.
 
Here are the screenshots of my problem. When I tried to connect through phone a new network connection was created. But now notthing is created.

Your modem driver installation is not good i guess. When you install mobile partner it will install 3 drivers, see this image.

If its already there, better uniinstall all the drivers and re-install again
 
I tried in four different systems (2 win 7 64 bit, 1 win 7 32 bit, 1 win xp 32 bit). All fail. The mentioned ports and modems are not there.

The driver provided to me may be at fault here.

All of you enjoying those amazing speeds could any one share the drivers somehow.

Tried google but couldn't find.

@sg3707, Drivers are included in firmware...And it auto install itself on PC. Are u using usb extension cable? This happen to me when usb doesnt provide enough power to 3g device(using long usb cable). Does it show 3g modem or singal bars b4 connecting?
 
Upgrading firmware maybe risky so try when no options are left.
Does it detect ur USB modem in Device manager? Try installing drivers manually then.
Does it play any sound in windows when u insert ur 3g device? If yes, problem may be due to incorrect drivers, try installing manually.
If u tell ur step by step process from installation to connecting, maybe we able to solve it.

@majeri, then u can try removing the 3g device removable drive's letter or hide it in diskmgmt
 
Damn I recharged for Rs 2500..showed successful on BSNL portal...didn't get any SMS within 1st 1 hour. Later got an SMS that your recharge cannot be processed. Please contact customer care :mad:....and now my Rs 2500/- is stuck....calling CC is a pita with BSNL.....can anyone tell me any email id for portal recharge issues :(

Guys I will recommend to go to a CSC and do the recharge.
 
^ If the recharge was not successful then the amount will get refunded in a weeks time.I tried recharging with 110 and it wasnt successful.Got the amount back in a week in my account.The portal > view recharge transactions > should show "refund initiated" after a day or so.

Yup its definitely a PITA when money gets stuck somewhere.If you are in urgency then better to call up/visit your csc.I somehow dont have faith in their email correspondence or in their CC.
