@m-jeri....Remove all instances of Huawei Mobile partner, ZTE EVDO software and Tata Photon. After that reinstall from the E122 autorun.

Btw just for info...I was trying to recharge a TE member's 3G sim online..ya I was trying to help out someone and Mr. ( Are you ) Hayabusa is very happy to see someone stuck !

anyways supra : since ur sim was not recharged , money will be eventually returned to u , thought it may take some time , dont worry , its not going anywhere , happened with me once i was recharging bsnl from my sbi bank , sbi CC told me to contact bsnl , bsnl told me to contact sbi,

i didnt contact any after that , money was in account in 3-4 days :p
 
^^ LOL Freecharge is limited to BSNL topups @ rs 400.

These special data recharges can only be done via BSNL Portal :p...so those sites are useless :p
 
No, I have felt nothing about ur that comment since ur name also resembles a name of super car. If u follow ur comments then ur also struck with it. And for eng lang here, I know but those Hindi words have diff impression so I used. I have nothing in my mind against u but just kidding with u. I think u r taking it seroiusly. Re installing ovi
Suite
Did no difference since that too gave a pop up to download the hotfix.
Also the problem is still there.
So uninstalled the ovi suite , installed nokia pc suite the 7.1 version and when i made the connection the speed was good 100mb file downloaded in 10 minutes.(as per mtnl standards the speed is good)
Since i had it on scheduler, the pc switched off.
On restarting again i connected without using the pc suite and after some time the inactivity problem resurfaced.
I guess my last option would be to downgrade to vista for the hotfix to check for a solution.
If it still doesnt gets solved i am sure its damn mtnl at fault. :p
I think by that time reliance will be up so can make the comparison to check who is at fault. :S
 
jeri, is this didnt help you? And if you are not planning to use SD card reader, then you can disable it by using some AT commands

@ggt, what is your OS? and USB hot fix for required OS, available here..

And if the problem exists even after applying this hotfix, then setting the speed limit to 3.6 mbps in your IDM or any download manager will mostly going to solve this. see my earlier post
 
My os version is RTM version 7600.16384
Win 7 x64.
The hotfix you guys mentioned was the same as i got in the pop up of the ovi suite will post screenies later for reference.
Even when i clicked on the link, requested for hot fix,got the link in my email inbox. I got the same error.
Stating the update is not applicable for my computer.
Even did the windows update through my computer, but did not get the hot fix option, instead got update available for various language support.
:S
 
So won't these dealers do it properly? Should we hit the CSC for the 4200 INR recharge as well?

When i get the card today, I intend to test it on some PC but most of us have Nokia phones and Win 7 64 bit Ultimate/Home Premium on the PC. Anyone has had any luck with such a combo? Before I buy the Huawei E122 modem i.e. Just to be on the safer side that the connection is good at my place before I take the plunge.

Btw I've another query, when I switch to this connection, I'd be plugging the modem to my netbook. Previously since there was a cable modem + wifi router. Would this mean I'll have to keep my netbook as the access point so other devices such as the PS3, iPhone etc can access the net from it? Or is there another way like another router wherein you can plug this modem into? :ashamed:
 
At last i am able to use BSNL 3G now. I have some weird with my nokia N8, when i try to browse with default browser, it shows page not found. Even opera gives me same kind of error. I thought there might be problem with 3G. When i used Joikuspot and made my mobile as Wi-fi hotspot, it got connected :clap:.

I am posting first speedtest result. As mentioned from my previous post, there is problem with 3G coverage in my house. Here is speed test with only 2 signal bars. I think this is the first speedtest result from pune.

Even after using 3G my balance was not deducted from my prepaid account. Hope i am getting free 7 day internet.:cool2:

Now i am looking for good 3G Usb modem with external antenna support.
 
^^maddy.. i jst now ordered the umg181(with external antenna port ) from ebay for 2.7k..hope it works out fine with my win7 64, unlike some who are facing issues with their E122 with drivers or so...though it might be temporary but i don't wanna go thru the hassle with a new card.. as earlier i was eying for a E122!!

Please post review and post some speed test result with this. Have you tried with any external antenna.
 
I have the E122 with Windows 7 X64 and have no issues at all. I dunno what you guys are talking about. Just get the latest firmware and dashboard updates from dc-files.

Plz Note : If you have Tata Photon + Software (Huawei Modems) installed....plz dont remove it after installing Huawei Mobile partner from the E122. Uinstalling the Tata Photon+ seems to be deleting some dependencies which screw up the detection of any other Huawei USB modems.

And yea just did a 4200 for my friend. i did 1499 last 5th :(... so... bummer
