Camera Buying my first DSLR - Budget 50k

I don't think warranty will be a problem as long as he has a VAT paid bill mentioning serial number. Canon is lot more flexible with warranty than nikon. Canon does not even ask for a bill and usually they verify the warranty using serial number. I remember nikon had a note put up on their website few months back mentioning that Flipkart & snapdeal are not their authorized dealers. Most of the small scale retailers who sell the cameras are also not in authorized list of canon/ Nikon. does that mean Nikon/Canon will reject the warranty even if customers produce a VAT paid bill.

Most of the camera manufacturer's could find out weather your product is Grey market using the serial number. As long as your serial number is in their list and you have a proof of purchase i don't think anybody can deny you the warranty.

If you are getting good deal from Flipkart go ahead and buy it. Flipkart is too big a player nowadays for Nikon to ignore.
