Important Information - New eBay User Agreement

You are receiving this because you are a registered user of an eBay website ("eBay") and you have provided a registration address in India.

Currently your "eBay" site of registration (that is the site on which you registered) is eBay India - Online Shopping Mall: Free Auctions, Shop/Buy/Sell Mobiles, Cameras, Apparel, Computers, Bollywood Clothes & Indian Products and You have contracted with eBay International AG, a company incorporated under the laws of Switzerland and having its registered office at Helvetiastrasse 15 /17C H-3005, Bern, Switzerland. If You sell on "eBay", You receive an invoice from eBay International AG for Your activities like listings, various features, final value fees etc.

With effect from 00:00 hours (India Standard Time) on the 1st day of April, 2010, all eBay users with a registration address located in India, will need to be registered with eBay India Private Limited (and not longer with eBay International AG). This means your existing User Agreement with eBay International AG will be terminated as of 31st March 2010 at 23:59 hours (You shall no longer be registered with eBay International AG) and immediately afterwards (i.e. effective 1st April 2010, unless you choose not to accept it, you shall be bound by a new User Agreement with eBay India Private Limited, a company incorporated under the Companies Act, 1956 (as applicable in India) with its registered office at 101-B, Akruti Corporate Park, LBS Marg, Kanjurmarg (West), Mumbai 400079, Maharashtra (INDIA) and the Privacy Policy of eBay India - Online Shopping Mall: Free Auctions, Shop/Buy/Sell Mobiles, Cameras, Apparel, Computers, Bollywood Clothes & Indian Products. eBay India Private Limited would raise invoices to You for your activities like listings, various features, final value fees etc. on "eBay".

If you are registered with eBay India - Online Shopping Mall: Free Auctions, Shop/Buy/Sell Mobiles, Cameras, Apparel, Computers, Bollywood Clothes & Indian Products, your new User Agreement with eBay India Private Limited and the Privacy Policy of eBay India - Online Shopping Mall: Free Auctions, Shop/Buy/Sell Mobiles, Cameras, Apparel, Computers, Bollywood Clothes & Indian Products are hyperlinked as under. If you are registered with any other eBay website, while your existing user agreement with eBay International AG will be terminated as of 31st March 2010 at 23:59 hours, you shall be subject to the same user agreement of your registration site effective 1st April 2010, except for the following:

1. Your contract is with eBay India Private Limited. eBay India Private Limited would raise invoices to You for your activities like listings, various features, final value fees etc. on "eBay".

2. The following clause in the Section "Fees and Services" or "Fees", as the case may be:

If you reside in India and you select to receive Your invoice in a currency other than Indian Rupees, you will receive all invoices from eBay India Private Limited in the currency as selected by you. You shall make the payments of these invoices in the name of eBay International AG, a company incorporated under Swiss laws and having its principal place of business at Helvetiastrasse 15/17, CH-3005 Bern, Switzerland. Your payments to eBay International AG should be in a currency other than Indian Rupees and should be from a bank account other than an Indian bank account or from a credit card other than those issued by Indian banks. You shall be solely responsible for compliance of all applicable laws including those in India for making payments to eBay International AG. Your payment to eBay International AG with full compliance of all applicable laws shall be sufficient to discharge you from your obligations towards eBay India Private Limited regarding payments under these invoices.

In the new User Agreement, as applicable to you, you would notice that the significant changes are (a) change in the contracting entity from eBay International AG to eBay India Private Limited; (b) eBay India Private Limited would raise invoices to you for your activities including selling and listings on any eBay website; and (c) your payment to eBay International AG for the invoices raised by eBay India Private Limited in non-Indian currency. Once these changes take place, you would continue to have the same world-class experience and protections in transacting on eBay websites that you always had.

Please note the following:

1.

If you agree and accept the aforesaid new User Agreement as applicable to you and with eBay India Private Limited and the Privacy Policy of eBay India - Online Shopping Mall: Free Auctions, Shop/Buy/Sell Mobiles, Cameras, Apparel, Computers, Bollywood Clothes & Indian Products, then no further action from your side is necessary and effective 1st April 2010, all Your activities including selling and listings on "eBay" shall be governed by the User Agreement and Privacy policy mentioned above.

If you do not wish to accept the aforesaid new User Agreement as applicable to you with eBay India Private Limited and the Privacy Policy of eBay India - Online Shopping Mall: Free Auctions, Shop/Buy/Sell Mobiles, Cameras, Apparel, Computers, Bollywood Clothes & Indian Products, you can choose to request to close your eBay account permanently on or before 31st March, 2010. Once you close your eBay account: (i) Your eBay account cannot be reopened, (ii) You cannot use the related feedback and (iii) You will not be able to use this user ID or email address on eBay .

Please note that if you do not close your eBay Account permanently before 31st March 2010, as aforesaid, it shall be deemed that you have accepted the User Agreement as applicable to you with eBay India Private Limited and the Privacy Policy of eBay India - Online Shopping Mall: Free Auctions, Shop/Buy/Sell Mobiles, Cameras, Apparel, Computers, Bollywood Clothes & Indian Products.

Actually... Ebay in India is now a wholly owned ebay india company and now has nothing to do with ebay swiss (HeadQuarters).

Earlier, the user agreement we agreed to, entered us into a contract with ebay swiss (HQs) and now ebay is wholly an ebay india company, so in the new user agreement, we are entering into a contract with ebay india not ebay swiss...

So what does that long letter mean? :huh:
We have to abide the rules and regulations by eBay India, nothing else. Right?
 
It just mean you are now automatically bound to the agreements with eBay India, and in case you dont agree to the terms then you should close you eBay account by march 31st.

Nothing to worry, just some legal mumbo jumbo!
 
^^^^^^ I've had a P3(got refurb 16GB for ~7.5K for a friend from US) and have an iPod Touch. And personally except for WiFi and features which use WiFi I think it's better than iPod touch.
  • Looks and UI are good
  • Good bundled earphones
  • Good music quality, player interface is also good.
  • Has FM Radio :)
  • Very good battery life. (Used to get 12+ hours with bluetooth music/god-knows-how-long[>>>20 hours] with wired earphones)
  • Plays DivX, all downloaded 700MB rips play with drag-n-drop (U read it right, no conversion required). I would say u can get the player only for this feature
  • Bluetooth functionality is best. Nobody has brought in so much BT functionality in a portable device
  • Flash is supported. You can copy flash games and play them. (I played our good-old Copter :) Of course without any keyboard entry, only mouse games are supported )
And at Rs.6995 It's worth every paisa. Now, I've to keep my friend's eyes off this page and pricing :D

eBay India: Ray Ban Aviator Mercury Golden Sunglasses @ 1Rs Auction (item 250589839492 end time 03-Mar-2010 22:50:04 IST)

There was a similar auction yesterday and the glasses went for about 1k odd;) I had asked the seller whether these are genuine and he said yes,they are genuine and If I feel they are fake then I can send back the product and get my money back:p Point to note is He is a powerseller and has a decent feedback

But when I read the Product descirption found out this:huh:

100% fake dude... i also reported this to the ebay CC some 2-3 months back... i asked the guy whether he can give Rayban India warrantee... he told no..... Also Dont use such cheap sun glasses... Its ur Eyes.... dont get it spoiled... u cant get it back ! ! !
 
^absolutely correct, dont get into all these cheepo stuff, really bad for ur eyes, n those glasses are fake, u can find several of them on roads n everywhere, people sell them openly saying they are rayban n what now, always get the orignal ones from authorised dealers only, thrs a very high chance that even the non authorised dealers might b selling the fake ones.

Couldn't agree more. Just got mine delivered today. Wasn't very interesting till I upgraded to firmware 2.20. Just one word after the firmware upgrade - awesome:hap2:

I only have a VGA cam on my mobile...anyways I will try to capture:p

Color - silver

When I spoke to the seller he confirmed one year manufacturer warranty..I need to try registering with samsung..will update.
