English TV series discussion

The Amazing Race Season 36 - This season was actually shot before Season 35 during 2022 when COVID was decreasing but decided to air it after Season 35. They stuck to only two continents and private jet travel. Nevertheless, a good season filled with well thought out challenges for the teams.

This is one show I have been following from the very first season when I was in school! :)
It wasn't a horrible season overall. But I hated the alliance some of the teams formed, it ruined the point of the challenges if they were all going to do it as a single unit. I love the old TAR. This new stuff is getting too soft for my taste. I need some hateable people with real competition and drama.

Season 35 was actually the more recent full fledged season for TAR and it was fantastic! Teams were good and challenges were hard and pushed the contestants to their limits. I'm sure Season 37 will be good as well but yes older TAR seasons had some very interesting and formidable teams pitted against one another and sometimes the dynamics between them got sticky and heated making the show all the more interesting... I agree! This season 36 felt too lovey-dovey amongst teams... needed to have more bite!

Dark Matter Episode 5 was super interesting and intriguing. Joel Edgerton & Alice Braga inside that...

Box and opening door after door to discover entirely different versions of the world outside

was riveting!

I want a video game based on this show dammit!!

Dark Matter Episode 6 - Good episode. Not as exciting as episode 5 but the story is definitely getting more dark and twisted. 3 more episodes to go...

Also I feel...

The root cause of problems in any world that Jason visits from the doors in the infinitely long corridor of the Schordinger's Box is WOMEN! :banghead:

Shantaram - Loved Prabhu character specially his Indian accent (I hate when foreigners speak in Hindi, its easy to understand there english than Hindi). Overall its good and entertaining story, waiting for finale
Quite enjoying this so far. Interesting bits of philosophy in it here and there.

Had watched 'The Gentlemen' and liked Charlie Hunnam's character. Looking at his other work was quite surprised to see him as the protagonist in this one.

This is so much better than Slumdog Millionaire. But a series will always have an advantage over a movie

The Boys Season 4 - Only 3 episodes have been released for now, awesome till now.
I wish they released 10 at a time. Even though it feels "can't wait for the remaining episodes", house of dragon S02 is right this weekend.

House of the Dragon Season 2 is finally out! The first episode was intense and grippy. Acting is solid as expected.

Looks like S02 will have a total of 8 Episodes and will be a weekly affair.

Coming to The Boys - Season 4's Episode 2 mid-way has a scene that will forever be etched on my mind:

The Sauna - The Human Centipede! :smilingimp:

I have watched The Office, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, The Big Bang Theory, Young Sheldon, Modern Family and Malcolm in the middle(my personal favourite) and enjoyed them all. Looking for some recommendations for similar shows.

Dark Matter: Season 1, Episode 8 - What a clusterfu*k of an episode! Here I thought there were:

3 Jasons but NO! The writers have decided to put in as many Jasons in the episode as they seem fit to justify the ludicrous nature of the plot now! This is the biggest problem with shows that manipulate time. The writers can decide to show anything at anytime in an episode and the audience must sit and just take it.

My head hurt after watch this episode. I'm pretty sure the finale will be even more maddening!
