Congratulations to Nico on finally getting his maiden pole. Schumi very cheekily said that Nico is known to be a good qualifier. Hope Nico proves that he can be a good racer as well. Don't get me wrong I hope Schumi has a good race as well.
Didn't anyone tell Vettel that 'Karma' and 'Narain' both have Indian origins and calling the latter a cucumber would make the former deal out a harsher punishment than it normally does. Well Vettel qualified 11th out of top 10 and shares the row with a psycho (Massa). Advice to Vettel if the psycho goes past you at the start don't try and overtake him because it is dangerous. For Vettel it is time to prove his mettle.
Nico and Schumi. A Mercedes front row. Will they finish that way? That depends on their tyre wear.
Kimi and KamUi starting on second row after Hammy's penalty. Fantastic second row.
A quick McLaren and Webber behind them. Webber I think has an extra pair of soft tyres so lets see what he does.
The quicker McLaren of Hammy behind this pair alongwith Perez (don't expect much from Perez in Malaysia he was at the right place at the right time. 1 race won't change that opinion).
Fernando will have to work hard (as usual) and he shares the row with Romain - if he survives the first few laps will be another driver to watch out for not for the win but making up places.
Vettel and Massa in the next row. Two drivers who constipate when it comes to overtaking but Red Bull strategy should help Vettel. Massa as usual will be driving backwards.
A brilliant starting grid so far. From here on each row is dedicated to a particular team.
Williams Row. Pastor has been unlucky but the better driver in this pair. Hope he gets some points in the race.
Force India Row. Wonder if Force India going backwards on the grid this year has anything to do with them opting for 2 young guns over Sutil.
Toro Rosso Row. Will be fighting the FIs.
Caterham Row. Will be going in circles. Petrov might crash just to end the loops.
Marussia Row. Yes, they too will be driving.
HRT Row. The Cucumber starts last. He is over half a second behind his teammate.
Hope we have a good race tomorrow.

Lotus had a good car at the beginning of the season. The upgrades were bad and had to be taken off. If that continues they will fall behind in the development race.
Those apart today's race was disastrous for Kimi.
Shoddy Pit Stops by Lotus. Every time Kimi pitted he would come out behind those he was leading.
Horrible strategy. If they wanted a 2 stop strategy they should have had him pit later but since they were originally on 3 stops strategy they should have stuck to it. Atleast they would have got some points from the race.
As a Kimi supporter feel absolutely terrible. Lotus strategists should grow some brain cells before the next race.
Nico did a good job to get his first victory.

@sunny - Saw titbits of the Senna 2010 last night because it was too late. Saw 'Grand Prix - the killer years' last night and I was shocked at the way the driver safety was thought of back then. Also the guy in the 1990 crash from Senna movie was really lucky considering how he was tossed out of the car along with the seat. Will watch the remainder tonight. Thanks for recommending those.
Also, I do remember a documentary on Discovery (I think) - I have not yet watched the whole Senna so don't know if this was included - Senna would have won the Monte Carlo in an inferior car but the race was stopped because of the French influence. Is that true?

Senna was an amazing movie.. Kinda long, but really enjoyed it.. Watched it long back once it got released, wish Senna was there to race for a long time. I can see some resemblance with Bruno senna (face wise, i may be wrong).. What an amazing and passionate driver.. Kudos

Saw the Senna movie. When they were showing his last race I really started praying that he survives I don't know why but I really wished.
It was also very nice to see how Ron Dennis supported Senna after he got his license suspended. I don't see why his license was suspended or his race result was wiped out just for taking the escape road. If they wanted to disqualify him then they should have black flagged him during the race. Also wasn't Shumi's car illegal in 94?
@Renegade - I wouldn't put Montoya and Alonso in the same league. 2003 when there were 4 drivers competing for the championship - Big Bro Schumi, Small Bro Schumi, Kimi and Juan. Juan was the 1st one to fall out. I remember how as the season was coming to a close and if he made a mistake he would say he would make up for it in the next race but the championship was tight that year and his relaxed attitude took him out. Juan was also very aggressive and would push a bit too hard at times and loose control.
Alonso is also aggressive (controlled aggression) but that is not his only talent. He makes the best of whatever opportunity he gets and he works hard to open that window of opportunity.
@sbhas2k - Kimi has been in my list of best drivers for a long time (since 2003). He cemented his position in that list as a top driver with his 2005 season but, I guarantee you this Alonso is said to driving a dog of a car and still raking in points hence he is the best. Kimi might have done even better in the current Ferrari remember Alonso didn't want Kimi as a teammate. In planetf1 forum someone had posted an article that Satander was in talks with Ferrari since (July) 2008 and not 2009. That was when we started seeing Kimi's performance dripping. Ferrari chose Satander over Kimi and not Alonso over Kimi. They used Kimi's silence against him. 2009 car was built to suit Massa but if anyone remembers the races they will remember that Ferrari made worse strategy calls for Kimi than Lotus did in the last race. Putting wet weather tyres on his cars few laps before it started to rain. With Massa's accident they stopped developing the car and the Kers unit made the car heavier yet he won a race in that car. Massa is not a benchmark and Alonso won't allow a competitive driver in the other seat who can be a benchmark.

On what terms?
The former has his head in its place most of the times which helps him make the most of opportunities. Montoya could go fast and the same can be said about his loud mouth. Temperament-wise they are as different as chalk and cheese.
Doesn't mean i like either though
