What resolution do you play at? If its a 17-19 inch monitor then you should probably be able to max. most games with acceptable frame rates.

It has 512MB of GDDR3 memory, which is different from DDR3 memory, just in case you were getting them mixed up.

oh ok ok i get it now for ram its ddr and graphic cards its gddr....
ok ///

i am having a 17 inch lcd monitor. i prefer HQ . and no lag in frames....

You have an Iball PSU, so forget about 8800gt..
Get the HD4670..

Your native resolution must be 1024x768.
So it will play almost every game at High settings..
and will be safe with your PSU too..

I am a casual gamer...
playing at only 1024 x 768
my conf:
e7500
2gb ddr2
corsair HX460watt
500gb hdd

I am getting a second hand MSI NX8800GT 512M OC at 4.5 k...
is it ok for me to buy it ???

A new Palit 9800gt 512 GDDR3 is available for Rs.5600

So no point in getting a 8800gt at that price.

HD4670 will play games at 1280x1024 also..

It will be better if you suggest me your total budget..GPU+PSU

Re: The Graphic Card Advisor

hey guys!
I am confused about the psu requirement printed on the box of every graphic card is for the PC or the card itself?
I know for someone its like a silly question:p
but i want to clear my doubt anyway:ashamed:

Re: The Graphic Card Advisor

Have a E6300 (2.8 GHz Pentium, not old 1.86GHz C2D) based rig at my native. My folks use it only for browsing and watching videos. When I go there occasionally, I game at 1280x960 res currently, but will potentially upgrade to a 1680x1050 or 1920x1200 monitor soon. Which GPU would be the best? Power consumption while not gaming needs to be minimal.

Currently have a no name PSU but willing to step up to the Gigabyte Superb 460W when required.

Re: The Graphic Card Advisor

Is 4670 enough for a 22" full HD monitor? I'm a casual gamer .. and updating both GPU & PSU. Budget's as tight as possible.

The power requirement mentioned is for the whole system.

Please mention your budget,
That CPU looks pretty old, so mention your motherboard also.

HD4670 wont be able to max out NEW games at 1920x1080 resolution,
either you will have to lower the resolution while playing or decrease the graphic settings while playing.
