get 98gt (~5.3k) and zebronics pro 350(~1.5k)...more than enough for casual gaming

Thanks. any particular model? Palit? Gigabyte? Galaxy?

Re: The Graphic Card Advisor

instead of Zebronics pro 350w get a gigabyte superb 460w PSU, costs around 700 more but will be more future proof.
Have a E6300 (2.8 GHz Pentium, not old 1.86GHz C2D) based rig at my native. My folks use it only for browsing and watching videos. When I go there occasionally, I game at 1280x960 res currently, but will potentially upgrade to a 1680x1050 or 1920x1200 monitor soon. Which GPU would be the best? Power consumption while not gaming needs to be minimal.

Currently have a no name PSU but willing to step up to the Gigabyte Superb 460W when required.

Please mention your budget,
That CPU looks pretty old, so mention your motherboard also.
Budget is around 5k for GPU alone. As for the proccy, i have the *new* E6300 launched just a few months back so it ain't an old one by a long shot. Using it with an Asus P5K-VM (G33 chipset) mobo.

Re: The Graphic Card Advisor

and a gigabyte superb 460w ~ 2.2k

i ball
model number is Lpe 223-400 buddy

That is not a good PSU..

although the card shows 400w power needed..
Such local PSU's only give half the power as their efficiency is very low.

Go only for branded PSU,
such as corsair,tagan,seasonic,CM etc..
These have 80-90% efficiency..

Re: The Graphic Card Advisor

Guys, I want a quick suggestion. Should I go for 4670 512 MB or 4670 1 GB ? The difference between both is just 300 bucks. So should I go for 4670 1 GB ? Just want a quick advice.

The memory doesnt make a drastic difference in normal resolution,
it only makes difference when you game at very high resolutions (above 1600x1200)..
But since the difference is very less between the two in price, get the 1gb version..

the extra memory wont really make any difference in performance

512mb buffer is enough for a card like 4670 i would suggest if u have more cash then take 9600gt instead
