hey I wanted to know which is the best G.card
according to my sys. spec
System Specs
AMD Athlon II X2 240
Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-S2H
2 GB corsair 667 MHZ
17" Samsung max resolution less than 1680 x 1050 and more than 1280 x 800

^^ Whats your budget? If its under 5k then go for ATI HD 4670 and if its under 7k, then go for ATI 4850.

512mb or 1gb??man why is it so expensive, 4850 is cheaper and its performance is better than why is it costier than 4850????

Get the 512mb one,
this is because,
the HD4770 consumes much less power then HD4850 and dissipates less heat also..

k got a cm 600w extreme power, sold my 8800 to kallu_be.

Plan on gettin GT300 in march-april 2010 when it launches.

For the timebeing i need a decent GPU to run all games on 1920x1080 especially MW2 :p

Have a Phenom II 955 and 4 gigs ram, runnin wid 7 pro atm.

Suggest somethin fast !.

The game launches in 10 days !!!!!

UNDER RS.5,000

a)9600gt(keeping in mind you have a branded PSU)
b)HD4670(if you cannot spend extra on a branded PSU)

NOTE:IF budget can be extended by around RS.1000, a 9800gt is a much better deal

UNDER RS.7,500

a)GTS250
b)HD4850

GTS250 is a bit better but will set you back by RS.500-700 more.

UNDER RS.10,000

a)GTX260 216 sp
b)HD4870

NOTE:GTX260 maybe a bit costlier than RS.10,000.

UNDER RS.15,000

a)GTX275
b)HD4890

HD 4850.........dont think 9600gt 9800gt canhandle with all bells and whistles

so do i need a branded psu for it or it will just work with my old one??
i am going neheru palace today with a friend he is getting 4770.

Please mention your budget..
the least you should be getting is a HD4850.
will just be a replacement(its 5-10% better) to your old 8800gt..

Yes, you do need a branded PSU.

something like a gigabyte superb 460w to be on the safer side.

members might not be using it as the way it should be..

Dont even think of running a 4850 or 4870 on that PSU,
please tell your total budget GPU+PSU..

i have a query regarding 4850.

I have corsair VX450W PSU and my question is can it handle 4850?

My PC config is-:

Proccy-: Intel Pentium D 925 running at stock speed i.e. 3.0GHz

MB-: Gigabyte G31M-ES2L

RAM-: 1x512MB Transcend 667MHz having clock of 5 and 1x1GB Kingston 667MHz having clock of 5

HDD-: 1x500GB Seagate 7200.12 and 1x320GB WD

ODD-: 1x Sony CD writer

and also i have one Internal TV Tuner card

Can all this with my 4850 512MB run on Corsair VX450W. GUIDE ME!!
