I am totally against these kind of wastage. Then again, I am also completely against Diwali. This is one day I hate the most going out - the sound, smoke. Complete waste of money, adds a lot to the pollution, no concern about others who could be sensitive to loud sound or have allergies/asthma...We Indians have a lot of such festivals which are utter waste and bad to the environment!

They should ban LAN parties too. Waste of electricity especially in a country where 40% of the people dont have proper access to electricity. How dare a bunch of people get together and fire virtual bullets at each other?! Wasting electricity produced by the hard work of power plant workers!
