I finished the career mode.

All I can say is I am glad I didnt pay for the game. It has taken 2 steps back from NFS MW.

It looks identical to UG2. I really cant make out any difference. IT runs like utter crap even with settings turned down. The game is so ridiculously easy. Only the canyon duels are a bit tough. The pursuit has taken a backseat.

I dont get what EA are trying to do here......

The storyline is so damn complicated. Emmanuelle doesnt expose as much as Josie Maran.

The overconfident machismo of the bosses gets irritating. REALLY REALLY irritating. Every NFS game, the guy you are going to beat is so overconfident that he is a GOD in a car. And when you beat them, all sorts of crap like "I let you win".

I have never been this disgusted with the game.

Now, let me try the challenge series and see how much that sucks.

The Pros of the game ?? hmm.....this is a tough one. Canyon Duels are fun.
 
Hows the Handling of the cars?

Im still only done 52% downloaded of the game :(...

Wanna play it so badly.. Zz...

Dont you mean downloading the DEMO ?? YOu need to "buy" the original you see...... :P

The handling of cars is crap too. Somehow, I feel it's worse than NFS MW.

Whats wrong, feels like the cars on ice? :P...

For some reason, I love the cars sliding around, i love drifting, maybe thats why :P.

arrey.... I said that because TE doesnt openly support Warez and pirated stuff :lol:

Even I didnt pay for my copy. I got it as a gift from bit torrent

And it is not like they feel on ice or anything..... it just sucks. I love drifting too. But the car handling plain sucks. Most cars have a tendency to understeer even if I have tuned it for oversteer.

The drifting is awesome though.....
 
i get 25 fps with everything max 1280x1024 and 32x AA without the oc'd processor (@ 1.8 ghz i.e)

i love this game !

so with 4x ingame, its 40-80 and 100+ in the ingame menu.

I do not KNOW why is there a general conception that NFS MW SUX...while on the other hand i find it to be the best RACING game ever not to n\mention best in the NFS series...

OR MAYBE I Have been missing out on a A REALLY COOL GAME tat has been out there for a long TIME????

someone noticed in drifting when u are sliding front wheels automatically gets locked to the opposite side even if u have the steering straight :-/ ...... tho u can control the steeering but in game it will be always locked weird
 
I thought handling of cars in MW was much better than UG and UG2... gameplay graduated to the next level in MW too, other than removing drift mode altogether. But worse, in either UG or UG2, you had to drive around looking for races like a street dog looking for food :rofl: Based on all this I don't know why people thought MW sucked.

I think I'll get a chance to try Carbon this weekend - curious to see what the fuss is all about.
 
I say it sucked simply coz of the car handling. Yes, it was better thna UG1 and UG2 for sure. And now Carbon as well

Seriously, Carbon isnt worth playing if you have played UG2 and MW. It is really just UG2 (night scenery) + MW (the cops part of it)
 
IMO most wanted was good enuff, much better than UG2 and ofcourse carbon...besides I'm not a fan of night racing :)
 
in my case, i played ug2 so much that the folks banned me from playing it . I used to pretend to go to sleep, then wake up at 1 or 2 to play ug2 :ashamed:

In my case , i really was playing ug2 'underground' :lol:

then the night setting helped a lot ;)
 
i would recommend everyone to go play nfs carbon and here are the reasons why :
(i wont mention anything bad about the game since everyones already doing that, but this is for those people who need a little ..erm.. motivation to go buy this game.)

1. awesome cars. the car list in nfs carbon is much bigger compared to the other games and each class of the cars you have can help you in different situations. for speedtrap i like fast exotic cars, for circuits and sprints i use a tuner and theres nothing better than drifting downhill in a kickass muscle car. all the cars feel different.
2. the graphics are really good. when i played the x360 version i was like hmmmm this sucks.. but on the pc the graphics look really good and not a step below nfs mw.
3. so many customising options ! not only can you change the shape and looks of your front bumper , rear bumper , spoiler , roof scoop etc, you can also use aftermarket parts like bodykits, branded rims and original spoilers and roofscoops.
4. shitloads of vinyls and lots of custom paint. you dont need to use 1 vinyl as you used to in mw, you can use different layers of vinyls and position them, change their size, skew, and rotate them as well.

 
Thanks for the quick review arun, this is more helpful than people generalizing that the graphics and gameplay sucks - c'mon, environment graphics suck for all NFS games when you compare them to first person shooters :P
 
Is it just me or I found the handling to be a lot lot better than MW. No performance issues here either. I'm running at the native resolution of my LCD at 4X AA/16X AF. Graphics aren't hot but not absolutely crappy either. Nikhil you should seriously stop complaining about framerates if you are gonna use a 6800GT. Thats one really old card now.

How different is this from NFS UG2 or NFS MW ??

The game always stutters when I hit the NOS. Goes down to 9-10FPS. Settings at 1024 x 768 and 4x AA and 8X AF.

Many of the settings in the game (like world detail and Car reflection) reduced to medium from High.

NFS MW ran smooth as butter. This doesnt look better and has no reason to run like crap
