I too completed the game but on 360 and must say that 360 has no frame rates struggle. The gameplay experience is like never b4 graphics r not good with a bit of bugs, but the gameplay is far more better the speed is intense. The game certainly better gameplay wise when compared to previous nfs seriers i give it a 8/10 :)

Ok. Ill give it a good review. EA is definitely trying something different with the new game - Undercover , in their NFS franchise. While other developers are looking at making gameplay and graphics more real and neat , EA is taking the gaming back to the golden ages , the age of blocky textures and a car handling like you can never imagine.

You take a sharp turn , and by sharp i mean even a turn which is a near 180 degree turn , which if you would try in any other game , you would need to completely stop and then drift a bit through to come clean. While in NFS : UC , all you need to do is reach the turn at full speed , hold the left steer , and if you seem to be going for the wall , just tap the brake once , and voila, in what seems to be keeping in terms with the latest movie WANTED, the car magically drives straight and in control. Maybe instead of following the transporter series , NFS UC has taken tips from Angelina Jolie for how to perform a houdini in a '89 Nissan 240sx. I think if EA had just released some extra maps and a new career for Most wanted ,keeping the graphics , the gameplay etc , o would have given it a much more warmer welcome than UC.

Now lets see if i can try and finish this game .:P

I tried the game with the HD patch.Sure the texture is sharp and the road...well......looks 'different' but I dont like the new graphics. It turned off the reflection detail on my car, so this patch now goes out of the window.

Pathetic game!! I'm so freaking glad that the eastore didnt accept my credit card details :D :D

Having said this, I'm still hopeful for a decent NFS. I mean, they HAVE to eventually get it right.

Frankly i like the game. Period.

I've played Grid both single player and online and it remains very close to my heart - it is the best car game that i've played. And i just cant get enough of its drift racing - its one of the best in implementing drifting... Respect.

But i can't ignore nfsu....not for Maggie Q in it, not for incredibly fast racing, not for the adrenalin rush it gives me - i know i might appear like a kid driving a kiddie toy and appearing happy at end of each race - but isn't this what arcade is all about....

Why can't physics nerds leave their knowledge to the sims....

Most ppl like nfs -porsche here, coz of its 'physics', 'handling' which were 'true to real life'....well then - nfs might never be the same - since underground, they've tried to venture into different league...and while prostreet left me highly disappointed (it wasn't track racing like in sims, and it wasn't arcade and there was no story)....but nfs u does it....despite its ok graphics, and rubbery handling....i think i can appreciate the game....'coz i enjoy the story - the cutscenes, the burnout style incredibly fast racing - while leaving my mind out of it.....

8/10 from me.

after going thru again with all user impressions here...

i RE-downloaded NFS and tried to play with new patch...

what can i say... after 5 mins of installation and gameplay.. i have uninstalled it again and deleted again :(

will not download to test it again 3rd time..

infact pro-sheet was btter :(

My initial impression is that Undercover is at least 10 times better than Pro-Street if not more. Its more like Most Wanted and police chases (must mention: road blocks are useless this time) are the best part of it. I also liked the Outrun, Car Jobs and Highway Chases. Most Wanted had a better graphics and car handling IMO and this one lacks in those departments. Although I like the sense of speed, I don't like the way it blurs out everything around the car, feels like we're traveling in a time machine.

Its not the best game out there but certainly not the worst. Even with all its flaws, its still enjoyable. :D

I am with rPok on this... Infact i already expressed my feelings to rPok about the game... its a decent game... Not the best but good enough... And not to mention the maps are beautiful...

Really liking the game, can't blame EA a bit.....and a BIG LOL @ those complaining abt the lack of originality.

Originality? What's original in UC? Even the storyline is similar to MW: A cop trying to use you in taking out a bunch of high profile racers.:bleh:
It feels like I am playing Underground 2 with exotic cars.
However, having said that,it's not as bad as people are putting it to be. I love the Highway Battles.

8/10 from me.

Agree and cannot agree more. :D

Completed the game few mins back. I did it. The gameplay was a lot different compared to MW/Carbon. A different storyline. Ok Blackbox may not have done a good job in the gfx dept but with few tweaks (like setting the brightness to ~40-45% and switching off the shadows), the game looks good enough on systems with decent setups. (They could've done with so much of HDR).

And comparing Grid with this game is certainly blasphemy! Grid is a legend in itself.

I'd rate it 7/10. Over and out. :)

PS: I never felt the Veyron was fast. Even the legendary McLaren F1 failed to amaze me. :( How could a GTR tuned to the max appear faster than the fastest cars in this game? :S I wish Ferrari'd make it to the NFS sometime.

Well I for one felt veyron was fast... Infact so fast that its almost impossible to handle the car...

Yeah, in fact I felt all the Tier 2 cars (and upwards) upgraded to the max performance + handling were impossible to handle at high speeds.

I used to drive pink slips most of the time. But had to buy 4 cars initially to get ahead of the rest, a Camaro SS, a Mustang GT, a Gallardo LP560 and a Skyline GTR. (Heck, even the cops've drove 911 Turbos and the GTRs :O I wonder which's this country :P).

You ladies actually had to buy cars? :hap5: j/k

All said, the game sucks. The sensation of speed is somewhat nice, but that's about it. Now we'll wait for a real game, not one meant for the console kiddies - no offense to anyone here, that's the target market. I just want High Stakes back but in a modern format - arcade racing, cop chases, you actually could drive as a cop, day/night and reverse and mirrored tracks. You could play that for 60 hours and not repeat a single track or combination ever, and not finish the game.

The only time I had to really think was the 15-cop takeout at L15, because the feds would magically come back to life and block your exits, then home in on you. In the end it was driving slowly that worked, the AI gets messed up when you're not pedal to the metal.

Only three pink slip cars used: the 240SX at the start, Elise with street parts, and a GT2 with pro parts. I did get a Charger and the Evo, ended up not using either very much. The Evo was very funny to drive and the Charger too slow.

OMG, ^^^ shows the level of involvement you've had by actually finishing the whole game.

PS: You could actually try a hand or two at the WCGs. :P

sangram you said from the beginning "the game sukzzzz" and still you managed to complete it with all the achivements ..you sir really amazes me :P
