Does the Nokia 5230 slow down when the memory card is brimmed ?

What is new in the new firmware ?

Any noticeable improvements with the new firmware that is release ?

Btw where do we get phillips she9500 for rs400 . . I checked in a local store it was for rs750.

i got it with 5230 for 8.9k that too in mumbai inclusive of 12.5% vat

You're right. I've edited the post to remove that error as well as add the difference between the camera modules.

Update on the 5233 replacing the 5230:

From Nokia 5233 is a 5230 sans 3G price is lesser

* Looks like the 5230 had some issues and Nokia got out the 5233.

* Nokia intends to replace the 5230 with the 5233 and some dealers that the 5230 has already been stopped and only 5233 is available.
 
Checked out the 5233 today. It looks really nice. Touchscreen is okay-okay. Needs a slightly hard touch for a response. Yep the dealer told me there was a problem with 5230 and so Nokia decided to stop it. He even showed me GPS on the 5233 so it does have GPS..
 
Guys,how many of you have you have upgraded to the latest firmware? Any issues with the new version? Any bugs? Any improvements?
Also are there any issues with using 64k SIM in the phone? Read on gsmarena that some crazy dealer was ranting about this issue,hence the need for the Nokia 5233.:p I am using an Airtel 64k SIM and so far it's running fine albeit the annoying 'Active Divert's popup whenever I call anyone.But it's only been a day and I dont want my shiny lil phone dead.:heart:
 
I am almost on the verge of buying the 5230, can somebody elaborate on the issues thingy ?

Is Nokia really stopping the 5230 ???

I think so. All 3 Nokia Priority dealers in my area (very high volume dealers) have returned their stock of 5230s for a brand new set of 5233s.

Besides, I think the 5233 is fantastic VFM. You only miss out on 3G, but you're saving more than 1K over the 5230.
 
yea .. it seems like nokia has replaced 5230 by 5233, i visited 3 dealers yesterday (hotspot, nokia priority included) and they all said that 5230 is no more available. So got my self a white 5233 last night for 7350/-. :)
