Ok facing a bit more of issues now that I have used the phone for around 2 days.
1. While the phone is very balanced in hand, it does feel a bit strained in my jeans pocket. And I don't wear skinny jeans. The main problem I face is when I sit in my car to drive and the phone is in my pocket. I cannot get the phone out without getting out of the car and standing upright. Maybe it's a safety driving feature. Hehe
2. The camera in auto mode is considerably worse than my brothers redmi. IPhone 5 is way better. But switching to a mode called "clear image" does improve the camera a lot.
3. The signal strength is much weaker then my current phones. Both the WiFi and cellular signals. Not weak enough to be a deal breaker but still noticeable. Also there is a considerable delay when switching from 3g/2g. Might result in your phone being not reachable. Minor issue for most but I work as an icu intensivist. Can't have myself as being not reachable.
4. While it is the fastest android phone I have ever used,there is still a lot of stuttering, mainly noticeable while browsing on chrome

When you say the camera is worse, what are you getting at exactly? Is it more noisy or blurry?
OT but what is an icu intensivist?
I find browsing in the image gallery lags at times. So even I'm starting to think either a. that specs don't matter much or b. CM is poorly optimized. I was expecting 'buttery smooth' with such specs.
The camera is undersaturated (fixable), but also blurry and noisy indoors.if you take your sweet time to focus you might get an usable image.

Battery life on opo is outstanding specifically when it comes to SOT.
Yesterday recharged my phone at 3pm to 100%.
Today morning at 10 am, it is around 6% mark. With a SOT of around 6 hours.
This included at least 3 hours of streaming videos over a weak hspa connection. Would have killed my iPhone at midnight. All this with stock room, kernel and auto brightness. And no power saving modes.

An update,
Recieved the opo official blue flip cover.
Looks great,fits great.
Unfortunately there are 2 issues,
1. The magnets are not strong to hold the flip in place when closed. This is unlike what apple smart case (Rs 3500/-) or Moto G official cover do. Think of it as more like the cheap flip covers which come with samsung phones.
2. The underside of the front flip does not have a microfibre lining. Again present on both the apple and motorola covers. It somehow keeps the skin polished and fingerprint free on the other two devices.
Again for the price paid( Rs 699/-) , it is an excellent buy. Locks/unlocks the phone automatically, all the buttons are easy to access, even the sides are protected if you drop the phone. Also on larger devices,the flip makes it easier to hold the phone when browsing for extended periods.
Will post pics later.

Yes this phone offers Amazing battery life , but size is an issue it protrudes from the shirt pocket and it difficult to get it out from trousers pocket if you are sitting in a car and i am unable to push it inside my helmet i have to remove my helmet to take a call . .[DOUBLEPOST=1419181325][/DOUBLEPOST]front cam is superb ....

What you're saying is it takes a long time to focus. It uses contrast to get focus. So turn to something that has some contrast but at the same distance, press the shutter but don't release and then turn back to your subject, finger off shutter. You can't get a clear shot without focus. If your subject is over 2m away then you can focus at anything of the same distance or further as focus will be set to infinity.
As for noisy there are plenty of manual controls to get slow exposure, low iso shots that should come out better than the iphone 5. You just need to hold it still long enough. 1/4 to 0.5s is possible handheld.
you need a phone smaller than 5 inches to do the above. Even 5 -5.2 will be too big.

While on the topic of focus, I struggled with a macro of a mosquito with the OPO whereas at the same distance & situation, the redmi 1s was at least able to pull off a few shots.
But that was the only situation where the focusing frustrated me. In other instances, I found it to be quite alright.

I've been using the OPO for the past couple of weeks and so far the experience is good.
The yellow tint has reduced significantly and is barely noticeable now.
The screen brightness is not adequate when set to auto mode outdoors, on bright sunny days. Switching over to manual full brightness mode helps.
I've noticed a few abrupt network signal drops which lasts a second or two when the phone switches between 3G and 2G networks. No such issues during a call.
I've not yet used the camera extensively, but in what limited use I did make of it, I found it to be very average. I found that my GS3 shoots better photos. The camera software is not upto the mark. Hopefully with OnePlus' in-house ROM the camera software will improve.
Battery life is phenomenal. I get close to 2 full days of usage on a single charge. Screen-on-time is also fantastic, as reported by other users. Coming from a GS3 with an extended 4500mAh battery, I didn't find OPO to have a shorter battery life. When playing "Real Racing 3", I could get about 3 hours of nonstop play. Battery charging is fairly quick with the 2A charger. It takes about 2-2.5 hours for a full charge from <5% battery.
The CM11S is fairly stable and the phone doesn't lag in anyway. I was testing out "Real Racing 3" in "balanced" processor performance mode and I could notice some lag and stutter but in "performance" mode, no such lag or stutter was experienced.
I'm yet to test out the audio quality extensively, but the twin mono speakers are loud.
One small drawback I noticed, coming from the GS3, is that the phone vibration levels are very feeble. In the GS3, the vibration levels can be easily felt in the pocket/bag when commuting, but it's not the case with the OPO.
I've been using the OnePlus official flip cover and found it to be good. The only issue I faced was with the power and volume keys needing to be pressed in a particular angle with a bit more of pressure when the case is on. You get used to it though.
Overall, I'm happy with the phone but coming from a GS3, I found the overall experience to be a little bit of a let down. The GS3, even though is now laggy as hell, felt more complete, more polished, better finished. I'm not talking about the build quality or the OS specifically here. I'm talking about the overall feel and experience. In hindsight, a Note 3/4 would have suited my personal taste better.
But, for the piece of hardware OnePlus has managed to provide at the given price-point, I'm not going to complain.

Maybe there wasn't enough light. A flashlight on the subject will fix it. Only to lock focus then you remove the light.
Their algorithm has to be tweaked. Works sometimes and not others.

The 1s at least focused & spat out a workable image. The OPO just wouldn't focus. I can only think that it got thrown off by the mirror/reflection.

Time to work out what the minimum focus distance your OPO can do in optimum conditions.
Get a ruler, stick something contrasty at the end, then move up and down with OPO and determine what the minimum focus distance is with macro and without macro.
how far is it for both settings ?
Then try the same will less light.
Once you work that out then you will have some idea about what is and isn't possible and how to workaround.
