I had small brush with the game back in '08, but never really got into it. How long is the first game? I'll check the video when I get back. Also what's co-op like in this game?

The first one was pretty short but very very intriguing gameplay. You loved LBP, I am sure you will appreciate this one even better.

I am not sure of co-op. I don't think the first one had one. Never bothered actually since I play solo all the time. :P

great guess people who have already preloaded the game get to play it earlier than us :( anyhow ill wait for my boxed copy its anytime better paying 2.2k :D

I competed it a long time back, IIRC it was short, under 3 hours.

Also, everyone on this thread please post your steam ids (your in-game id not sign-in id). Let's be FRIENDS :)! You could put it in your signature to make it kinda permanent.

I'm playing Portal 2 co-op in mid-May when I get my new computer. I'd be grateful if somebody would hold out playing co-op until that moment. :)

I've a question: My ping is always around 300 ms :(. Is this okay for Portal 2 co-op?

They've started another countdown until Tuesday. Oh wait they want us to play the 13 indie games in the potato sack to help release Portal 2 early.

^ Any news which version is better between 360 and PS3 ? there is a lot of hype over Valve coming to PS3 platform

The PS3 version, from what I can tell, is getting the game for the first time. The only advantage it has over the 360 one is the Steam works integration, meaning this:

The specific feature set included with the Steamworks will be cross-platform match-making and play, friends lists, chat, and achievements. It will also include Steam Cloud saves, allowing users to start a game on the PlayStation 3 and continue it on another PS3.

Similar to playing PC games on Steam, it will serve as an overlay within the game itself. This lets users quickly access Steam friends, game invites, and so on. Steam Achievements are also linked to the account, so you'll be earning them and PlayStation Trophies simultaneously when you play on PS3. Score.

You'll need to link your PlayStation Network account to your Steam account in-game to access the features, but it seems like a simple enough process. And of course, if you don't have an account, you can create one for free.

As far as graphical enhancement goes, nothing has been reported yet. But the people who have played Portal 2's early release on the 360 say, it lacks AA badly. Here's a CVG quote from Valve's writer, Chet Faliszek:

"If you bought the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions and put them side by side you can see they're identical games. The actual content is the same too across all platforms,"

Well, buying the PS3 version also gets you the PC version for free. Plus you have cross-platform multiplayer with PC players. 360 doesnt have that.

Yep that's the good thing about Portal 2. For the first time MP with PC and PS3 players online wOOt!

Played the game for 1 hour on 360 the visuals aren't great neither the game tells much whats happening

When you play with us from India itself, you'll get pings which you will find heavenly.

I was browsing Valve's YouTube channel & I feel that they've already posted too much spoilers in the gameplay videos. Now I'm regretting as why I watched those videos.

That is the reason for low system requirements for the game.

Don't think nowadays you can come up with low res texture games, come on why not use the power when you have it.
