BIOS flashing shouldnt be a herculean task imo.
I flashed different versions of my bios on my board to get best results.

Infact,if i remember properly,i flashed around 4-5 different version of BIOS in 1-2 days time...lol

Yup...no probs in flashing bios if ur really interested in OC'ing....
Same here with my board....got confused cuz thr r 3 diff versions of each bios for me......nd i flashed about 8 times bfore i really got to knw my mem.....lol

@ Nikhil are you nuts to OC without Thermal paste or pad.
You will damage ur proccy.

run to the market and get some good thermal paste or AS5 if you can.

You meant me I know its bad to OC well I am waiting for my AS5 to come soon hopefully, Rockyme are u listening

if in mumbai, AS5 is available with mnemonic systems for Rs.650.
It will last you for 10-15 applications. so invest in it now.
Do not risk CPU like this.
if you stay somewhere else,if you want i will ship it to you man......

well....here's an update

Athlon XP 2500+ Barton Core, 166x11 = 1833MHz, VCore = 1.65V

here's what i oced it into :

damn board...no 1.9V VCore option....

Doesnt matter whether it was suicide shot or stable.
What matters, as far as i am concerned is that you could boot into windows and take a shot.

Good job.
Achieving that speed to be atleast be able to boot into windows is also commendable.

280MHz @ 3-4-4-8 @ 1T @ 3.1V [ DDR560 ]
250 MHz @ 2.5-3-3-7 @ 1T @ 3.2V [ DDR500 ]

looks like it is a DUT3C barton.. it shud easily OC to 3200+ speed (2200MHz) with a slight bump in Vcore..
