Post your overclocks !

here mine max ...... ,y processor refuges to go any further .....its on rather high voltages tho .....wat do u guys say about this .....

That is a real nice OC Rahul..... 2.43 on a 2800+.... nice.... but since it looks like you cannot push further unless you increase the voltages, I think unforunately, you have got a mediocre oc'ing chip.....Same as me....

@ 2340Mhz its prime stable at stock voltages but above 2400Mhz i have to increase the voltages to get it prime stable ...... anyways i am only one step behind to the max voltage my mobo can give that is 1.7v ..........:)

nice going dude :). Thats awesome on a 2800+.

thanks dude ....... but i am trying to go further lets if i burn the chip ...hehehe

Hehe 1.65 on a nuke is pretty fine... no cause for worry ;). You can go upto 1.7 as well. Make sure you have decent airflow. That starice will keep ur cpu cool for sure :)

Finally. Finally. Finally. Finally.
Broke 2.8Ghz today. Thats frigin 1Ghz over stock speed of my venice.
Muahahahahahahahahahhaha.

3dmark stable. HL2 stable.
Havent tested it for prime yet. Will do it later tonight.
But i am happy now :D

Congrats , but did you do it on ur DFI or ASUS.

Plz can you provide this further info
- Cpu temp & cooler used
- which Ram used with/without divider and ram speeds

Thanks in Advance.

This is on A8N SLI.
Brainpower Hynix DDR400.
So obviously didvide used DDR266 so ram running at 204 Mhz.
The DFI is not stable for me at all.....
Need to get 20-24 pin convertor for that. Will get that tomorrow or day after as i get time.
So I just wanted to see if processor is good enough. So I pushed it on A8N SLI only.
Cooler is asus starice only.
Temps are 34C idle, 40C full load. I will take this any given day :P

yep.
It just kept going and going. What i have stumbled upon is vcore. As your overclock increase every Mhz needs more juice.
This same processor runs at 1.3XX V at 2.5Ghz. As i start going above 2.6 the vcore needed to be upped considerably. So i put it at max and then started overclocking until i hit this end.
It still seems the motherboard limitation. I mean comeon its doing 2.85Ghz at 1.55v only. Who in this world will complain about that? Imagine with better mobo what can it do.

its not a nuke ....its a clawhammer ...... :hap5:

OK. 2.85Ghz is not prime stable. It needs more voltage i guess.
Backed it down to 2.80Ghz. Ran prime for 4 hours and then stopped it. No errors.

Awesome OC I say Funky ! Your Venice is really capable of hitting 3 Ghz i guess just like JediMaster's...

Sadly my Winchester is not even stable at 250*9 :(

I dont know about the 3Ghz but it boots into windows at even 2.9Ghz. Even runs 3dmark. But it hangs sometimes.
2.85 is stable at everything except prime.
2.8 is prime stable at 1.55v
With mobo which supports higher vcore it should do more.
Need to arrange for DFI now.
BTW installed winchester 3200+ and DFI NF4 Ultra D at my cousine's place late last night.
Installed windows and tried overclocking. Winchester 3200+ oced to 2.8Ghz on Twinmos PC3200 RAM without problems. Surprisingly its stable. he has new Antec ATX 2.1 PSU.
Will post screenies from his house tomorrow.

So..... Funky is on a roll!!! Nice job!!!

And I am waiting to see the results of your Venice on your DFI.

Nikhil posted 0.7 minutes later:

BTW, which PSU do you have at your place???? Which one did you use to touch 2.85 on your Venice???

I have Antec Smartpower 450W.
And this is the same DFI which I had. It was originally purchased by my cousine only but he was not sure about the DFI board once he saw it. It was too complicated for him.
Then I was stupid enought to show him the xtremesystems DFI thread. And then he wanted his mobo back :(
Anyway, i will most probably arrange one more DFI. Specially if R520 turns out to be good then i might go for DFI Xpress 200 mobo only.
Till then i will have to slug it out on A8N SLI Dlx.

^^Very Good clocks there funky :cool2: !

Go steal the DFI, close your eyes, and press the pedal on the VCore :P ! For oc-ing a good 20-pin psu will do - from my experience with Antec TP 480W - but might be risky for long term stability of the board.

Good Luck Man !
