Post your overclocks !

so which is it nd vdimm???

Managed it at stock 2.6v :). Doesnt OC much though at this voltage, at the most 210Mhz. SmartGuardian seems to be reporting it as 2.7v? Will check the BIOS and see.

The funny thing was, i seem to have set everythin at 2-2-2-2 instead of 2-2-2-5 :P.

Ran a bit of memtest - particularly test#5 to check and no errors, so i'm guessing its stable. At 2.8v managed around a bout 230Mhz, guess lots of burn-in is needed. In the screenie, I pushed it to 1.5-2-2-2 , however CAS 1.5 is NOT the one I ran the memtest on.

Upped the vdimm to its 3.2v max, used a 166Mhz mem divider since I cant expect it to run high as yet. CPU running at 2.6Ghz, on a bit past stock volts. A small SuperPI 1M run. One pic to sum it all up. Did someone say, 'Crazy Eddy keeps his DFI at stock' ? :P

Now where did those sticks come from :hap2: ! Are thos Masky's VX ?

Can you boot at cas = 1 :P ! Run memtest first though !

There is this Bios option called VID special control. Setting it to 150% gets you enormous stability. Just try it :devil2: !

EDIT: Geeez ! That 150% was meant as a joke ! Thought you might actually try it in a moment of wild abandon :P !

Crazy Eddy - Your DRAM Idle timer is set to 256. :O
Your page will not be closed for 256 Cycles. that sets of any performance increments set by a CAS of 1.5. and more important in applications which use RAM a lot, including GAMES , you Pc will become 256 times slower :O :O :O (that was a joke)
the ideal time for the idle time is 0 - but some people can live with 4 or 8 or 16.
My Sandy is at 16.

Whats the excitement all about boyz ...
Edit: yup, these is a reason for excitement. !!!!!
After all it is Twinmos Bh-5 IA4T
and not crazy's cryptic (OCXYZ Diamond "Absolutely Crazy Eddy" Edition VX) ^2 :ohyeah:
crazy eddy , is 512 mb modules avialable too.....(Sunny told me these are 256 modules)
if so can you arrange 2 pieces for me .....??
here are screenies of my ocz.

No it isnt...

Its My BH-5 :P it isnt mask's OCZ :P Muhuhuhahahahaha

msg noted ...and understood.and edited my previous(above) post accordingly ..
i luv it when you hate me .....:ohyeah:
BTW, after receiving ur msg to come online , i do so immediately but alas you are not present online during that phase ....

haha, lol.
Happens most of the times. He PM saying come online on msn and he is not there :P

Anyway, his concern is about 4x256MB on DFI with venice.
And 512MB modules are available but they are either CH-5 or 5ns powerchip which is not bad deal considering its 0.11m chips. It will mean they wont get too hot even at high voltages unlike bh-5 which is 0.175m chip.

Currently CADT(powerchip 5ns 0.11m) and AA4T( winbond CH-5) 512MB modules are floating in India. None of them are bad overclocker.

You sure about this? Dint see any difference shifting it to 16 cycles, but shifted them under your recommendation. Seen a lot of people especially on DFI street having this setting at 256 cycles as well. These were the "optimized defaults" in the DFI , i dint mess around with any of the other settings except the CAS latency, RAS to CAS latency, etc . thats why its at the default 256 setting.

I havent been able to find 512MB variants of these at all, else i'd have got em too. Sunny's hoping for 4x256MB sticks to make it a total of 1GB. But official word from DFI street is 4 sticks will run at DDR333/2T on Winnies and DDR400/2T on Venice/San Diego/X2. Of course there is the thing about 512MB sticks being double-sided, while the 256Mb sticks are single sided, so again i'm not too sure.

Are you sure about this? You did mention in another thread that the TwinMos you checked at Mnemonics was not CH-5. I have looked high and low for CH-5/UTT and so far have only seen CADT(Powerchip), CADT and more CADT ! The CADT is fairly decent (PCJedi got them up to 250Mhz, i havent gone more than 240Mhz on them as yet), but CH-5 would be more preferable.
Some people say the BH-5 being based on the 175nm process are more tolerant to higher voltages (Similar to 1.7v vcore being ok for a clawhammer/newcastle, but slightly overkill for a Winnie/Venice)
And in general guys, please bury the thought that these are going to outdo OCZ VX :P An equivalent chip to these from the OCZ Lineup would be "OCZ Gold" . They are BH-5 as well, sell at roughly the same price as the OCZ VX - yet more people are lining up for the VX.

maybe they might :P

the GoldVX may sell better coz of the "VX" tag :P

anyways...this RAM is a gem..and i'm gonna keep it forever :ohyeah:

Its not GoldVX. Its plain gold. Nice to see UTT coming to the indian market. BTW eddy what was the price of these things?

He was talking about the VX ;) - i was tellin him the Gold is BH-5 yet people buy the VX. His reply was the "VX" tag makes people buy it.

The price is at the standard rate of any 256MB module! :D Only requirement is you visually inspect to make sure you're gettin the right stuff, the dealers dont care what ICs are in them, they all sell for the same price :P
A pity i havent found them in 512MB versions .

Yeah... I'd rather buy gold over VX. Sure they'll do a few mhz less than VX but u dont need to feed them 3.5V either ;). BTW Gold only has warranty till 3.2V whereas VX is upto 3.5V +/-10%. Its not technicall BH-5 but its BH UTT. Same die :). I might get one of these twinmos sticks just for fun :P.
