Backup Manager Patch For CFW Released - PSX PS2 PS3 Scene Modchip & Jailbreak Community

some highlights

* Kmeaw CFW is safe. Watang recommends it (as per some pages back)

* no eboot fixes required so recommended to remove any data from old backups in case of game boot problems

* omg omg lv2 patches RAM. Has to be rerun everytime backups are required. May get ported to MultiMan or BM soon

* To update to Kmeaw go to OFW 3.55 and update to this through recovery

* Kmeaw does not remove saves and pre existing data

* Ble-Ray playback does not work after running lv2 patcher but will once the PS is rebooted

^im gonna install kmeaw's cfw tomorrow ... directly over 3.55 OFW ... .. but I need to figure out whats this backup manager and how to use it :P ...
 
GUYS ITS WORKING FOR ME

I followed the instructions to play a backup and its working ... I backed up my inFamous and then took out the disk and put in mgs4 and then used multiman to play infamous .. WORKS FLAWLESSLYYYYYYYY wooootnesssss

Gaia Manager 2.02 is out. Kmeaw CFW 3.55 and Wutangrza CFW 3.55 are the only ones supported though.

Scorpy, which CFW are you using? And which backup manager?

V4B + 3.50-on-3.41 spoof has been working fine for me. Not tinkering with the console until something stable and less finicky turns up.
 
^I dunno how good/bad is kmeaw for that ps3 . But this is what you do

Upgrade to OFW 3.55

Install kmeaw 3.55 cfw ( in recovery mode) over ur 3.55 ofw

Install lv2.pkg from kmeaw

thats it ... then install a backup manager and play ur backups

remember you have to start ur lv2.pkg installed application everytime u start ur ps3 ... BUT YOU DONT NEED TO DO THIS AT ALL IF UR USING NEW GAIA 2.02 manager
 
download the ~170mb walla ps3updat.pup .. dunno which one of the ones u mentioned it is .. but its a 170 mb file ... download that
 
Did the CFW JB. Worked flawlessly on my PS3 fat 80GB.

1. Updated to original firmware 3.55

2. Installed the kmeaw CFW 3.55 Patched PUP

3. Installed lv2.pkg

4. Installed Gaia v2.02

Boom I have a backup manager in XMB. Now to make use of it :P

But one still require to Install LV2.pkg on their ps3 (no need to run it).

I did not install lv2.pkg. I installed gaia backup manager which has lv2.pkg code integrated.. also it you don't have to run it all the time you start backup manager..
