Inception-8/10- Good Movie, but definitely not a great movie The movie got me confused towards the end (of dream levels) partly attributed by ambiguous circumstances and partly by overexcitement of something mysterious looming ahead. My mind was looking for far reaching logical explanation but it turned out to be rather simple. But the fact that Nolan persuaded into conceiving convulsive thoughts deserves credit. A more intelligent (but without Hans Zimmer's music/Nolan's screenplay/Leo's charisma) multi-layered recursive story-telling can be found in TimeCrimes.

@crossbow,

even my friend tells me its a damn good movie.A short review plz.

@migician,

I know.She's gorgeous.very promising.Expecting good chemistry between her and the brillian Abhay Deol in Aisha.

@Iamddevil,

Cool man.I have the movie and was planning to watch it around this week.I believe a sequel is also come out now.

@puns,

Hilarious movie.Tere Bin Laden deserves a 7/10 in general and 8/10 in slapstick comedy genre.

I fell off the chair so many times laughing.Not bad acting.Dialogues are very funny and complemented by good expressions by the leads.Low IQ comedy.Better than that stupid 'Azam prem ki Gazab Kahani'.That movie was a horror.

Ok here it goes.

Spoiler alert where applicable:

Directed by Vikramaditya Motwane and written by Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane, It's a story of a teen boy and it's unusual journey of teenage and bitter-usual relationship with his father. What is most superb about the film is it's simplicity in the portrayal of the kid, his father and other characters in the movie.

Trailer of the movie somewhat leads to an offbeat story of a spoiled boy who did not enjoy his childhood fully due to his going to boarding school, and all the reflections because of that in his so called bad and careless habits. But Movie does tell a lot more that that

- An honest portrayal of a child who did not get attention from his father in his childhood nor in his teenage.

- An over-disciplined father with his own set of rules and his stupid wisdom imposing on his children and family.

- A perfect environment for a kid to choose his own direction (Push a spring harder, it will bounce better)

Director clearly justifies how bad it can get for a fathers like those in the movie which is played by Ronit roy. Rajat Barmecha on the other hand was flawless in entire movie with his acting. And suites the character perfect.

Message is pretty clear and totally general. It's not at all bad to think on your own. It's always best to do what you want. However 2 aspects IMHO are most vital in the movie,

1) So called thinking of our parents (Not to that extreme which is shown in the movie, but somewhat)

2) And related to first aspect... "Fit in to your elder's shoes".

If these things dont happen, or would have not happened in the past, Director would not be able to create this movie. Which is bad indeed, so may some strong message reaches where it's meant to reach.

The location selection and rainy scenario IMO add more beauty to the movie, moreover justifying the reckless, alone and hoping kid and and his dark-loner mindish father.

It's a best time to say that Peeps like Anurag Kashyap and Amit Trivedi are leading indian music and movie scene to a whole new different and meant to be direction. Amit Trivedi creates yet another one of his gem albums. Peeps who are familiar with alt. Rock and pop rock, they must be thrilled by hearing the songs of the album, and must have got lots of goosebumps. Lyrics again are totally fitting the situation and give a complete touch to the movie.

This movie is a complete package of mind-blasting acting; a superb, believable, and close to real life story;, rocking music; and excellent backdoor tasks.

The best work of actor Ronit Roy of course. lots of credit to him.

Sounds a lot like The Return with possible Indian twist of winning-it-back...
