It has a total of 751.1 MHz spectrum across 800 MHz, 1800 MHz and 2300 MHz bands.

According to field trials by brokerage firm Credit Suisse, download speed on 4G network of Reliance Jio during its beta-test phase peaked at 70 megabit per second but remained in 15-30 mbps range on most occasions.

I wouldn't be surprised if i see companies offering 5Gb of 3G data for 500 rupees by this time, Next year. Excited !!!!!!![DOUBLEPOST=1450551585][/DOUBLEPOST]
Hmm. I currently pay 1900+taxes a month for 8mbps 80GB and then 1 mbps on MTNL, i might switch if their speeds are good.
A 100Mb Wireline connection for you. I reckon.. By this point of time.

Cant wait to ditch reliance wireline, their plans are great but the service and quality of connection is horrible. I really hope jio wont use the infrastructure of current wireline service.

Yep. Unfortunately, the commercial roll out will happen only in Apr-May.

I sure hope they roll out their FTTH broadband sooner now. The cables and the boxes been waiting for more than an yr now :|

Not sure if there will be any path-breaking noticeable change in the ground reality but Reliance Jio has started looking for buildings/office spaces in the state. I'm excited!
Meanwhile Airtel 4G here=Loltel 4G. As told by a friend who got a new connection.[DOUBLEPOST=1450718863][/DOUBLEPOST]
Consumer end FTTH equipment hasn't still arrived. They will start giving out FTTH connections after August'16.
After Aug?? What? O.O

one thing I would like to point out - Reliance Jio will support VoLTE. I have been digging but yet to come out with a concrete answer, but not all LTE phones have VoLTE. What this means is that if a phone is just LTE, internet browsing speeds will be LTE but voice will be GSM/3G quality. What my friend tells me that the voice quality difference on GSM and VoLTE is like night and day, and that if i should buy a phone right now, I should be sure to purchase a phone which supports VoLTE. Just pointing this out to friends here at TE who are planning to buy new 4G phones. their line up of LYF phones, moto G3, lenovo vibe shot, karbonn aura are some of the phones according to them that support VoLTE or are True 4G phones

So basically some phone manufacturers will claim that their products are "True 4G LTE supported" while their competitors are just "normal 4G LTE".

the specs should say that the phone is VoLTE. However I was unable to find it on gsmarena for some of the models that jio claims have VoLTE

I'm not kdding @iPwnz Equipment for FTTH rollout for brown areas has not been finalised yet. Those Green areas ( Few Communities) have signed up and they're figuring out what to choose.

Idea 4G Tariff plans prepaid:

1GB + 1GB (Limited period) - Rs.249
2GB +2GB (Limited period) - Rs .448
4GB + 4GB (Limited period) - Rs.745
6GB + 6GB (Limited period) - Rs.949
10GB + 10GB (Limited period) - Rs.1346

Idea has decided to offer 4G tariff that is roughly 50% cheaper than its two closest competitors, Bharti Airtel and Vodafone.

While Bharti and Vodafone have priced their 10 GB packs at Rs 1350 and Rs 1500 respectively, Idea is offering 20 GB for Rs 1,350. This translates to a pricing of Rs 67.50 per GB.

This is clearly aimed at Reliance Jio, which is expected to offer 10 GB for Rs 600. (More details on that here.)

Of course, Idea’s calling this a promotional offer, but if the Jio’s pricing turns out as expected, the promotional offer is more than likely to become its permanent 4G tariff. Unlike in the 3G era, where Idea was dependent on partners Airtel and Vodafone for launching 3G services in many areas; in 4G, each operator will launch their own. As a result, they have more freedom to price their offerings cheaper to protect their customers from Jio.

“Idea’s primary concern seems to be to keep its data customers happy. It doesn’t want them going anywhere with Jio’s launch,” said a Mumbai-based stock analyst who tracks the company.

^ Idea knows Reliance Jio's tentative pricing, That's why that Limited period offer. They have no reason to fear if Jio's tariff wasn't as rumored, Could have gone with their friends Airtel and Vodafone.
Idea doesn't want to take chances and would like to take No 2 Spot overtaking Vodafone in the next 1 year.

It is very early to talk about Wired broadband but looks like 150Gb FUP could be possible at 100mbps for 1k, Reliance jio is getting a GB of data for 40 paise which will decrease to 11p/Gb according to analysts in the next 5 years.

Even Vodafone offers double data for long, at least in TN... 24GB (12+12) for 1501. Using this for last few months. Recently airtel also provides some data offers like, 6GB for 745 which usually 955

Guess who uses Idea right now. :D but no 4G phone lol.

I doubt it. Its true that Idea likes to give promo offers more than any other (from my experience) but its also a fact that the promos are usual limited. You wont actually know about it till you use it. For eg. I had 1GB data pack for 98rs. I got this offer message regularly but i could recharge it only 1-2 times. After which the price was increased to 125rs-150rs something and I did it again. The last one finally had the same price as normal one but it still showed me as an "offer". What is the offer? Use E-recharge and save trees? :@
but something is better than nothing i guess. #IndianLogic

I'd be happy if this comes to our area, pretty pathetic wired connections here :(

Jio Fiber plans are rumoured to be 100Mbps with 100GB FUP at 1K, if they can give decent post-FUP speeds then it will be a good plan for 1k/month, they would need to have more plans like 1.5k and 2k/month etc for which they can keep 150GB, 200GB FUP.
