Re: Samsung Wave S8500 India release??

Ok guys, here is some interesting news for you. A friend of mine reported the issues I am facing with Wave like poor multitasking, phone sometimes hanging all of sudden etc, to the Samsung India head. And since yesterday morning I had like 4 calls from regional samsung managers regarding this issue. They were very much eager to solve my issues with Wave but sadly I was busy yesterday and could not visit SVC. He has given me his no and told me to contact him before visiting SVC. Now this stuff is excellent. I am very impressed. Looks like Samsung is very very serious about this product.

I also told him to release the firmware updates to Indian region in quick time. Hope they will improve on that front too. But this incidence proves to me that Samsung have improved a lot and its great sign for us, end users. As the company with best hardware is also very very serious about the after sales support :)

Re: Samsung Wave S8500 India release??

Thanks for the great news,,,,

Hey anybody tried 3G and video calling on the wave,,,just eager to know how it performs...Hows the speed and all?

Re: Samsung Wave S8500 India release??

GPRS eats the batteries lke hell. WiFi can run much more, but with constant GPRS activity the phone becomes slightly warm, and the battery goes out like phoooff ... it went from 100% to 33% in like 8 hours, i turned off gprs, and it took more 8 hours to go from 33% to 28% with about 4 hours of music playback omg :O ... am at home on wifi, so that 28% went to 11% overnight with a constant wifi link enabled ... wth :).. ..

PS : need new firmware ftw !@!@!

Re: Samsung Wave S8500 India release??

I have tried 3G and left it for downloading for couple of hours using the cable connection to pc (don't have wireless on desktop) was getting speed around 3.6 mbps also tethering works fine tested on my laptop .Only problem is on 3G connection the video on youtube is quite pixelated and low quality as compared to using wifi connection (mtnl 1mbps) on phone

Re: Samsung Wave S8500 India release??

@automata

How much download speed u getting on the desktop....and hows the browsing and all using the 3G connection?

Re: Samsung Wave S8500 India release??

ok guys im facing a slight prob with my wave. Whenever GPRS is accessed the phone hangs for about 10sec and then it works again. It only happens initially when GPRS is accessed and then works fine after it hangs. I went to the SVC earlier today and told them to update the firmware. Since i was the first wave customer for them, they had not downloaded the firmware yet. I told them to put JF1 ( i have EJ7 now) When they did their search they told me JF2 was available :) they said they will download that and told me to come tomorrow :) lets see how JF2 is.. Seems the EJ7 firmware has some bugs... hmm....

Re: Samsung Wave S8500 India release??

nice news,,,,get it updated soon to JF2 and post the changes

Are u getting the hang wen u open up the browser and it says initialising?

Re: Samsung Wave S8500 India release??

I have already lost a spica...dont wanna lose this one,,,i have enable the mobile tracker already....:)

So is there anything else that i can do for precaution purpose to be just on the safer side....:(

Re: Samsung Wave S8500 India release??

On the service front it is to be expected that samsung will take it very seriously for their BADA Os to have any chance at all against Android and IOs.

Re: Samsung Wave S8500 India release??

exactly... if they ditch wave then its bye bye bada. So obviously they will have to take it seriously since its their own OS after all.
