Please do not compare 55-250 with 70-200 f4L IS .

IQ from 70-200 f4L is supreme and so are colors produced.

Arm that with 4 stop Image stablisation and a weather sealed full metal body, you have a recipe for a killer lens, though at very high price

@Blufox: Umm, an L lens, M-jeri you cannot compare the 55-250 IS lens to an L lens. The sharpness, and color reproduction on the L glass is unmatched!! The price is killer though, upwards of 1.1l if I am not mistaken This deserves a thread on its own ...

Oh not at all Aces, that is f2.8L IS. This one is f4L IS, for 1300$.

f2.8L IS II is for 2400$ I guess.
