yeah for me too ICS looks super cool and awesome, the good part is that the OS itself looks awesome without any custom rom over it (not taking the performance part) say GB was also boring for me but MIUI made Android interesting for me
<
and now I understand why Google is asking the manufacturers not to touch the OS part with their own customizations i.e. TouchWiz (Samsung), Sence (HTC) etc..

I have used the latest gapps Feb 13 and there is a camera fix too mentioned in the same link and now the camera works fine, again not all the time. Regarding the vides I use MoboPlayer and play the vides using Soft decoding and they work fine..

Pleased to mention that this method works nicely. Havent experienced any signal loss since 3 days, even in areas where i always did (company washroom
<
)

Ok, the problem with this method is that it doesnt "stick". Once you reboot your phone, it will revert back

Forgot to mention that Baseband 1120 was ported from the SU660 to our P990 a few days back. You can find it here:

Baseband 1120

I noticed a huge improvement in call quality with this baseband, so i recommend anyone having a 'Made in Korea' unit to flash this as soon as possible. And dont forget the corresponding RIL!

Guys what Kernel are you using? stock or others like Faxu's SV 2.6.32.55 CM kernel

http://rootzwiki.com...1/page__st__170

I am using this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1073626

Firstly used the 1.55GHz OC one, but phone suffered freezing issues.

Later went for 1.4GHz one and phone is stable.

PS : On G2x

How to find out if your phone is 'Made in Korea'?
<

Try checking the label after removing the battery

Atleast this is how it is visible in my G2x

For those who think that CM9 cannot record videos (i was one till now
<
), download 'videocam illusion' app (free) from the Android Market. It records videos perfectly.

And for those who think that CM9 does not play videos properly, use a third-party app like MX Video player.

I was about to sell my 2x but the day I got Recardo CM9 I decided not to sell it because this rom made my 2x awesome and till now I have no issues also being Alpha release I am happy that it is so so so stable. I am now waiting for the final ROM. This is the most under rated phone till date. But I am lucky that I bought this. Thanks to LG and all ROM developers who make things alive.

Sent from my LG-P990 using Tapatalk

Guys, did you use Titanium backup before flashing CM7/CM9? Did all of your app data get restored? I have lots of games on my stock ROM and I dont wanna lose the progress i've made in them
