A query about accessories. Can i post it here?

My phone is w350 sony ericsson. What would be a good pair of earphones for them? On searching this query found that hpm 70 is better than hpm 64 (stock).but market price is 250 for hpm 64 and hpm 70 for 225. Then there is hpm 75 for 450. Which one to buy. Please help me . I had made a query in audio section but there were no replies so making it here. If this is the wrong section please guide to a section where i can get a valid reply. Thank you.

Well, as per the SE India website, the HP-75 replaces the HP-70. The HP-75 also comes with a fast port connector (An advanced system connector for connecting a charger, portable handsfree, cable or other accessory).

So the choice is obvious.

1. Why are you suggesting something that overshoots his budget by around 5K?

2. Was a paste error, edited original post. Thanks for pointing it out.

Are there any nice business-class phones in the same range as the E52? Was really looking for the E52 but its not available :(

Yeah, availability of the E52 & E55 is quite uncertain.

Now, by the E52's 210 euro price tag, I'm assuming an upper limit of around 15K?

If your prefer a QWERTY keypad:

Nokia E71 ~ 15.7K*
Samsung B7320 Omnia PRO ~ 11.5K*

Touchscreen, WinMo devices:

HTC Touch ~ 15K*
ASUS P565 ~ 14.8K*
ASUS P552W ~ 12K*

Last but not the least, the Android based HTC Tattoo (15.8K*).

If you are ready to enter the Blackberry world, there's the 8320 and 8520.

Hope this helps.

I've often found WinMo phones great fun to play with, but a little unstable over the long run. Any opinions on the same?

His budget is 23k, i suggested him 21k device. How is it overshooting his budget by 5k??

hi,

i'm stuck between e72 and Samsung B7610 OmniaPRO.

i'm not an avid email checker so internet not a priority.

music too not a priority.

i like scheduling things so it should have a pretty good scheduling system.

it should be snappy and good battery life.

should be light and thin/easy to carry.

gps is important too.

budget around 20k.

Well, the second cheapest android device from HTC is the HTC Magic (24.6K*). Whether it will touch the 20K price point soon, is quite uncertain.

On the other hand, packed with multimedia features and a 3.1" AMOLED resistive touchscreen is the Samsung S8003 Jet (17.5K*), which is your only other option.

Dear TTC,

Now when the 5530XM and 5230XM has been officialy launched in India (Tech2.com India > Nokia 5530, 5230 XpressMusic Phones Finally Launched in India > News on Mobile Phones Mobile ) , How do you compare them w.r.to 5800XM?

The comparison should be between the 5530 XM and the 5800 XM, as the 5230 is not part of the Xpress Music lineup and aimed at the everyday user(see specs).

Now, between the the 5530 & 5800, the latter still offers better VFM considering the specifications as opposed to the former, that simply brings the 5800Xm experience in a new, slimmer rather slick avatar. More like the cheaper, trendy version of the 5800.

Sluggish in general, unstable if modded or resource stricken in any way.

However, the high-end win-mo phones don't really face such problems. ;)

Once you get hooked to the Win-mo platform and start tweaking it, you'll find yourself accepting the shortcomings rather the frustrations that come along.

So if you need a Win-Mo device for basic usage, the entry level devices should suffice but for some serious action, you need serious hardware that costs serious money.

Hope that helped. :)

Cool :)

One last question. Between the HTC Touch and the Tattoo - which is the better buy? I notice the Tattoo has a resistive touchscreen, does that mean a stylus is needed for all operation?

Hi Guys,

i wanted to buy Satio, recently heard it had some screentouch issue. I also heard a update was being deployed to correct the same.

Is it worth buying it now or should i wait couple of months before everything stabilizes?

1. The Tattoo boasts better hardware and a chance to explore the world of Android. It will take some getting used to though.

2. Resistive touchscreen displays, do some require a pointed device (stylus) to register the touch, but you'll find yourself using it only for certain applications.

I've seen people throw away their stylus and use their finger(s) instead.
