Any idea when is E55 releasing in India?
I really like the phone & could potentially be my next buy.

I think it may become available within the next 2-3 months. But I am not so sure. Nokia gives very vague time of release for their announced phones mentioning only the quarter of the year when they will launch.

Budget 25k

5 MP Camera is a necessity.

Suggest please.

NO NOKIA.

Since it is no Nokia, the choices are:
Motorola ZN5(recommended)
Samsung F480, F490
LG Viewty, KC550(it may be KC510 too)
SE K850i, C902(I forgot this ones model no. It may be C903 too)

NO NOKIA.

Do understand that it ain't easy pointing out the best 5MP camera phone...

Each has its PROS & CONS...

A simple guide as far as 5MP Camera phones are concerned...

The Best 5MP All-rounders:

1.Nokia N95 8GB ~ 24K* (Big daddy!)

2.Nokia N82 ~ 19K* (Less bulkier,Cheaper!)

3.Samsung F480 ~ 17.6K* (Touchscreen,great camera!)

4.SE C902 ~ 17.3K* (Decent features & performance)

5.Nokia 6220 Classic~ 17K* (The Bottom line!)

Best Video Recording:

LG KF750 ~ 17.9K* (Sleek stylish slider,improved camera performance,TV-Out)

LG KU990 Viewty ~ 17.9K* (thicker,TOUCHSCREEN,slow-mo vid. recording!)

No-Frills,Everyday 5MP Shooter:

Motorola ZN5 ~ 15.5K* (Decent performance for its price!)

Ignore the Nokias' if you want to but may I ask why???

And it's just a matter of time before 8MP & 12MP camera phones hit the market !

Hope this helps.

Need to buy my sister a phone...She is not tech-savvy so smartphone capabilities are not required. No touchscreen, no flip and no slide. Only candybar design.

Should be able to play music and support at least 4GB storage cards.

Budget - max Rs 10k.

Yes,it is worth the premium...
You get a whole new experience out of it !
Be sure to use one and see for yourself before you take the plunge...

You can get it cheaper only the Grey Way !
Else ask someone(elsewhere) to purchase it for you at a lower price...

^^u may have a look at the nokia 5130xm for 6.5k~

Seems it was launched in Rajasthan first !

Isn't available in the south yet.

Moreover,The 5130 XM supports microSDs only upto 2GB...

And the models I've mentioned are more capable than the 5130...

Thanks for the info man!!

The only reason not considering Nokia is coz it generally tends to become too slow over the time.Perhaps things have changed?

WTH ??? :S

I hope you were referring to Nokia's Symbian based (S60) phones !? ;)

And phones don't just SLOW DOWN ! It's probably because you've used up all the memory...

hey nyidea about samsung e840....i m getting a 5 month old 1 for 3k ..so was thinkin to keep as backup for my htc 1....screen looks gud....just advise me on performance...

1.It takes time to get used to the touch buttons on the front.
2.Average battery life.

Apart from that,it's a great looking handset with a decent set of features...:hap2:
