HTC Touch is priced at 13250/- at Alfa and HTC Touch at 14500/-. Why is there such a price differnec and which of them is the better phone. Also the folks at Alfa told me that HTC Touch Viva package doesn't include a headset, at Cromas they told me that it does, at nokia Top 10 the said both include headsets and at Vijay Sales they told me that both don't include Headsets. WTH is going on?

No HTC phone in this price range can meet the camera & music requirements you seek.

It's pointless getting a PDA purely for multimedia purposes.

If you still keen on getting an HTC, the only option is the HTC P3400 for 9.6K*

It's [5130 XM] the only sensible option in that price range (Upto 6K) !

Just curious. How does the SE S302 compare?

Also, what advantages does the G502 have over the 5130 XM, if any? There's gotta be something to justify the extra 1k the latter demands, right? Cos I see it being recommended time & again when one is looking for a phone within 7k.

& is it just me or are SE displays brighter? For eg. I find the 5130 XM display isn't as bright as any comparable SE. There also doesn't seem to be any control over brightness as in SE.

Also, I didn't get why the 5130 XM camera took about 3-5 secs to ready itself for the next shot, once a picture was clicked? Is that normal?

Please excuse me if I have erred in posting my queries here & maybe I should make a new thread after all. But I just merrily typed away without realizing....

Thanks.

Not all SE screens are brighter than Nokia screens, Nokia 6300 being a case in point.
In Symbian S40 OS(the one the 5130 uses), there is no option of altering the degree of brightness of the screen. This is something which most SE phones have.

The camera problem is something which may be fixed in a later firmware update. Many Nokia phones have been plagued by this problem. The Nokia 5310 is the best example of this. It takes around 10 seconds to save a picture and get ready for the next shot.
