I saw in discovery channel that Nokia N95 raw material costs only 1250rs , those were sold at 25 - 30k at the beginning .

just imagine what would be the production cost of iems :(
 
I am trying to apply for a CITIBANK credit card now. Do not want to miss the deal next year. Can't rely on Shopyourworld or ICCworld. Or better someone get me a job there in the US itself. I'll give 10 pieces of TF10 to him.
 
this thread is burgeoning beyond the required proportions. Anyway Santosh, I forgot to notify earlier, Debit Cards did NOT work on amazon. Sad.
 
Guess you have to check with the bank or find the brochure. Most debit cards would mention that they can be used for International transactions.

Anyways, Amazon etc., store your credit / debit card information and though it's a very trusted site, it's always better to deal through a credit card. That way, there's a degree of protection.
 
You guys should have registered for the ICC PPO service, you will get a US address and you can place the order yourself. So you don't have to wait for them to place the order through Shop Abroad.

Although the duty for Earphones is on the higher side.

Most Visa/Mastercard debit cards are international, but will not allow online foreign currency transactions unless its done through Verified by Visa / Mastercard Secure Code supported gateway. So it will not work on Amazon.

There are lot of similar services like PPO. I guess it'd be better if you join one of them quickly. You have many IEMs to buy anyway :)

That was one thing i wondered. There was no option to enter any password/CVV/etc codes on amazon. Why is that?
 
I just realized that I didn't do enough research. Instead of using Shopyourworld, I should have used vPost to get it delivered at the US Address and then it could have easily been routed to my Indian address. All in less than 6K :(

My bad. My Loss.
 
I did my research but acted late , i always thoughtof looking for a US address, but never really looked for one :( ....otherwise sushant you and i were covered !
 
Just got a call from shopyourworld that the seller has raised its price :P I asked for a refund. Now the money is stuck with them for 12-15 days (as told by them).
 
did you not scold them that, its their problem that the seller has raised the price. They must pay the price for acting this slow!! took your money on time and then saying this !

scold them sushant ...in hopes of getting tf10 at 7K! :P
 
I already did :P But I knew that nothing can happen so spared the poor guy, after a while.

Next time I'll just get it delivered to vPost. Lesson learnt. But hey ! Everything happens for the good, no ?
 
Btw its still selling for $178 + $5 shipping at Amazon.com

Which means they are selling for ~ Rs 8600 without shipping. Still a good deal if you can get the item via friends or relatives.

ICC World had given me a quote of 11600.
