The phone is crap. The display is nothing even in front of the M21. On top of that the os is meh. Too bad that the companies have disabled the return option only replacement of the same device
Idk what to say isnt m21 14 k and has 4 gb ram ? This is better 'package' with jack dedicated sd slot ir sensor high res audio dual speakers reverse charging higher ram and 3k cheaper but as I said you have to keep expectations very limited with a 10k phone as there is a reason its costs 10k and is so cheap. I dont think any phone has better screen at the price , maybe the mew g30 / m12 but lacks other things

maybe @sandeepsachin can help you out with anything if you are struggling as I dont have a m3 anymore. Also vanced worked fine for me , I also debloated using the xiami debloater tool and changed launcher to my taste.

@becool773 Is the screen really that bad? I mean , i too was a little underwhelmed when i first switched on the display but got over it pretty quickly . The brightness in sunlight isnt great either.
I havent used an amoled screen till date, my last phone was a nokia 6.1 plus which had a very nice ips screen . But yes, compared to that, this does feel a little lackluster
This is just a stopgap solution for me till we have a good stock android phone from nokia or google

Tried installing YTvanced in the M3. The vanced manager and vanced micro og installs fine but the YT vanced, apk and while installing via vanced manager, always say that App not installed. Any help?

This means you received the phone now @becool773 ? Sad that you do not like the display.

If you hate it a lot, then maybe you can give it to the person who was asking to buy it at MRP. You can go for another phone.

I have never heard of YTvanced, so cannot help you with that.

I have seen Mi phone, and I agree the OS did not impress me. If Poco has similar OS, then you might feel that way, specially if you are used to the stock Android experience. That is why I prefer stock Android. I love the lightness and the simplicity of the stock OS.

A bit disappointed that the phone did not turn up as per your expectations.
I think we are asking a bit much from a phone at 11k. Amoled screen and IPS cannot be compared unless they are at a relatively similar price.
Again, preference for OS/skin is subjective. What some may lime may be disliked by others.
As Anupam pointed out, if the phone is unbearable to use for you, perhaps you could sell it off to your fried who opened it in the first place.

Brother keep the higher offerings aside for a second. THE SCREEN IS HORRIBLE. Yes the M21 is 3k expensive and has less offerings but the screen is the first thing that one looks out for. I was not expecting a Super Amoled screen but atleast a good lcd. This is not even close to being a good lcd. How were you able to install Vanced? And what services/apps exactly did you debloat?

Have a M21 at home, not mine. Compared to that the screen SUCKS big time. I feel the audio is better in the M21 too. And being a 4+64gb M21 it is smooth as a better.

That guy ordered his own poco. Never heard from him again. One UI is the best.
If I get it replaced from FK then can I ask the for a return citing same issues? Will it work?

He ordered his own bro.
MIUI optimization is right at the bottom of developer options @becool773
Disabled it still same error. Have disabled battery optimization for miro og and vanced manager too. Any other help?

@Tejas01 @CapriAnupam @sandeepsachin @nick.knack91011 Can you please suggest a color scheme which can make the display look viewable. The green color looks light white or very light green.

Sorry to hear that... I don't know about FK, but in Amazon if you replace twice the second order is returned and money is credited. You can try that. Ask for a replacement. Maybe you have a faulty display panel.
If the screen quality is as bad as you suggest, then I am afraid no colour calibration would work as the panel itself is of bad quality.

Can you suggest some settings for the same.
Any apps which can find the fault in a screen, if any?
@becool773 The auto option which is the recommended one looks best to me. Standard is terrible as it makes the whites yellowish. Saturated is not preferred.
Also, there was an ota update on first boot. Hope you've done that.
A replacement would not hurt, give it a try

No idea about the softwares to find faults but you could try some color calibration apps from the play Store.
I am surprised you find the speakers to be inferior compared to the m21.
Doesn't the Samsung come with basic speakers? Moreover, the Samsung lacks carrier aggregation which M3 has. I'd say, if you hate it so bad, get a replacement and sell it as a sealed unit to a shopkeeper at your cost price of 10k. Replacement from Flipkart is in itself a great feat to achieve cause they usually send a technician from Jeeves and the sole job of that agency is to visit customer and disagree with everything that the customer says.

nothing special for vanced I just removed miui optimisations and it worked as @sandeepsachin also suggested. Maybe try xda

I think 3k extra is a lot over a 10k phone thats like 30 percent extra or 1/3rd of price. Tbh Lcd does and will look pale in comparison to OLed always I thought it was expected. But xiaomi phones are known sometimes to have inferior / faulty panels once in a while as they use binned ones sometimes , maybe you got a faulty display panel ? No harm in replacement

Having said that your friend ordered his own after seeing yours so it cant be that bad, maybe you are comparing Amoled and lcd side by side and in comparison it would always look pale tbh. Poco x3 also has lcd i think but people love it. You should try replacemnt anyway it wudnt hurt at all.

I took a picture of the phone as i was selling it but friend took it anyway but I am attaching for reference as Imo screen looked good enough ( and this is taken from 4 year old phone lg v20 and i suck at photography )

I think in both cases if its faulty one or just not good enough , you should try a replacement anyway as then we would know for sure. Once we know for sure its not a faulty display you can then decide if you want to keep or sell or try for replacement.

But yes Lcds will never compare to AMOLED s vivid color reproduction .

The pic isn't that clear to see exactly what it is. You should definitely go for replacement as suggested by others, if you are not satisfied with the received phone. You can email them with this pic which would be a good reason for replacement.

I hope the person who received the phone did not cause this damage somehow.

But, if you go for replacement, will it arrive at the same person's house, or you will change the address this time? Flipkart might feel suspicious if you change the address. If you do give the same person's address, tell him not to open package this time. He shouldn't have opened it the first time itself. He shouldn't open it this time, since he got his own phone.

Sorry to read all the troubles and disappointment you going through.

The phone has sold a lot, and people haven't been complaining about the display. Maybe you got a faulty piece, or maybe you just comparing it too much to AMOLED? Did you try changing brightness, etc to see if it shows some improvement?

Looks like the screen protruding out of the frame. That qualifies for a replacement. Speak to their cs and try to get the replacement approved without the need of a technician visit. Even if a visit is required, he can't deny it's faulty. So, don't worry.

Unfortunately no.

If gst number was filled for the original order, used by friend's gst number, then will the replaced order have the gst number again?

FK said someone from jeeves will visit to inspect and as per his report they will decide the replacement. What a mess.
