Okay I got mine today, thanx a ton to @Dare Devil . My impressions-you really need to reboot after installing all the contacts and apps, then it works fine.if you don't do this things get messy.the Mi3 gets expectations sky high for this phone! Guys it's a 6k phone realize that-this is the best 6k phone out there-stop comparing it to higher priced offerings of others!! Definitely better than my Samsung $ duos this replaces!

Ok for all those updating to V37, its the chinese update and malay update. Please wait, the indian version is going to be V39. And all the heating and ram issues are solved in it. Its still being tested from my info, but will be released soon. V6 will be available near dec for both Redmi and Note.

How can their hardware be compared to Xolo, lava, karbonn etc? You must be high. Xiaomi uses Snapdragon processors in these phones not mediatek. Lava, xolo etc only use mediatek's crappy proccessors in their systems. Btw, Snapdragon happens to be one of the 8 partners in Xiaomi. So much for Chinese stuff. They have exactly the same hardware as samsung,moto and sony. The made a huge mistake by releasing a half baked software version for the indian model. the price they will pay for it is goin to be dear.

After reading so many reviews and comments of people on DD forum i think it's better to stay away from this ....I dont think its worth taking risk ...Rest is on you guys...
I cannot force anyone to buy or not buy anything just my opinion...Basically the problem is cpu is overclocked and ROM is not stable which is causing the issues...

PS : Dont think i was not able to buy that is why posting this...I had ordered mine to one of fellow TE's here as i did not want one

Not sure what others think, but I am sooo happy with the phone, I cant start to explain. Only thing, it eats up more ram than other phones, which might create small problems sometimes, but thats it. The phone is very very well built, does everything like a champ, camera is top notch for the price bracket.

About the software, yes there are a few optimizations that can be made. But if you have been around android for long, you know MIUI developers are some of the best out there, and have amazing features which even custom roms can hardly compete with. The rom is very mature, unlike the roms from "indian" manufacturers. And having used MIUI on so many devices earlier, knowing their dev support, I am sure they will fix even the smallest problems very soon.

Well Done, let's wait for the next stable update, I'm also updating as we speak.
Edit: Updated, it's smoother than the previous version and more free RAM

I'm amazed it has wireless display and it works just fine! Didn't expect that feature in a low-end device.battery seems to be okay too.only drawback I am finding is no shortcut buttons illumination!I was holding the phone upside down the dark and was wondering why i can't hear the other person! The problem was screen had auto rotated to upside down orientation and it took me a while to realize that....only solution for this would to lock rotation.also the charger is 2 amps, that's surprising for a small phone like this-but good nonetheless
 
^^ Wireless display was introduced in android 4.2 as an inbuilt function. (I guess)

And there is an option to stop the 270 degree rotation AFAIK.[DOUBLEPOST=1410697805][/DOUBLEPOST]EDIT : Cant seem to find the 270 degree auto rotate off myself. Too many features to remember. :p

So far a frnd come to see my redmi 1s from 40Km away and suprised :P :D

i cant find downloaed link for JHCCNBH40 wic is china and english version of miui for redmi 1S and tre is member bicoo have updated to tis rom in is REdmi 1S

After seeing mine 1S no one said me to wy i got tis :P

Now i need 3 Redmi 1s :D

I have received the phone yesterday.It came with the v34.Its telling me to update to v36.What do i do ? Update it to v36 or wait for a more stable version ?
My house is on a main road and there are lots of dust.Like i have to clean my pc atleast 3 times a day.
Is there anyway to protect the redme1s from dust ?

Oh I found the option where it asks if you want to turn the 270 degree rotation off. Its not in the phone settings, I have rooted the phone and installed Mi tools. That app gives the option.

If its really important to you, you might want to have the app. (Rooting the Redmi is a piece of cake ;) )
