hmmm...problem would be ps3 eye do not have any separate power port. USB cable through which it connects to ps3 main system only provides power to eye also. USB extension cable may not work due to longer length.I once tried with a much shorter lengh usb extension cable but it did not worked so...

@terminater I have Panasonic Vierra Plasma and have been passing Audio of TV to receiver via ARC. But this is to pass on audio to receiver not a comp. Here's what I had basically done -connected receiver to HDMI port on TV (ARC HDMI port ) -enabled ARC on receiver and audio out on TV and voila...
