Graphic Cards 3D Mark 03/05 score thread

I m sayin this cuz i lost a 1000 points in 3dmarks :P ! But 32 Mb works wonderfully well in games ! setting it at 128Mb causes stuttering. maybe i'll try 64.

Here is the score for 01 and 03

BTW, what is the highest 3dmark 05 score in TE?? For a 6800GT??? and overall??? I am talking abt a non-SLI system.

Darky had an SLI setup and so obviously, his would have been sky high......

Anyone got more than 6K on 3D MARK 05??

nice scores.. lots of enthusiasm in the oc sections lately but remember all dont get too enthusiastic and fry your hardware :P

How is this???

5908!!!

HA!!

Highest score on TE as of now. NON-SLI setup.

Drivers --- XG 76.50.
Card --- BFG Tech 6800 GT oc'ed to 416/1160.
And Bottle ---- Don't worry. I OC to the edge only when I am running 3D MARK. Otherwise, my system is at 2.45GHz(from 2.0GHz) and 6800GT is at Ultra speed 400/1100 from 370/1000. And the temps of the card never goes above 76 deg C which is decent for a 6800GT.

And CPU temps rarely if ever go above 46-48 deg C. And this is with high voltages.

And I do not feed in more than 1.6 V of Vcore for looong periods of time... Usually at 2,45, I need to feed in 1.584 V

dont make my brng Metallus's BFG 6800 U and beat that score now :P hehe, just kiding
nice score there man, 6k in sight huh? ;)

6K??? I don't know.... I THINK I may have reached the limit. GPU,CPU, maybe only the RAM has a bit of headroom.

Why dn't you try beating it?? I mean, I just want to know how much difference is there..... Please give it a try.....

Ok.... my 3dMARK 01 score -- http://img129.echo.cx/img129/1193/3dmark2001244750li.jpg

A score of 12824 in 03 and 24475 in 3d mark 01.

SETTINGS: 2.56GHz, 6800GT @ 415/1140.

3D MARK 03 score ----

Now, only 3dmark 01 and Aquamark 3 left. DJ is da man!!!

Will try to beat it but seems impossible as he scores more in AM3 due to the CPU score which is higher than mine. And 3dmark 01 is more CPU dependant than any other 3d mark.

DAMN!!! Wish I had a nice oc'ing Winnie now!!!

Nice one!!!

Now, run 3dmark 05 at 2.6 GHz and then let us see ... :bleh:. You have an unfair advantage..... A venice.... clocked at 2.71 GHz.

BTW, what cooling are you using for your 6800GT??? The stock cooling??? Or something better???

@PCJedi , nice score that.
Yes , aces170 is correct.
but i would point out the actual effective bandwidth between the cpu and system ram (lower the latency settings the better) also plays a significant role in these synthetic benchmarks.
but the greatest benefit is obtained by raising the gfx card memory speed and next the actual gpu speed.
Nikhil probably wants to compare the scores w.r.t his cpu speed so that he can fine tune his system further.:cool2:

Ace is right, it hasn't made too much of a diff if i drop the clock on the CPU.

The mem is at 2.5 -3-3-8 with 1T. So that is ok. not too bad. running at 500 Mhz.
The GPU speed is the key factor. can make your scores jump. I know he wants to compare scores, but the idea is that if i can overclock the XFX faster than his, then i will get better scores, and if he manages a faster clock, he will get better. So the conclusion is that to what speed can you let the clock go and not worry on frying your card and getting artifacts.
Thats why the ultra almost costs 40% higher than the GT. just the clock. Its just that i wanted to know why he was getting such a high score. I am not focussed on 3DMarks so it does not make too much of a diff. but he said, we are all in here to learn. and so i have.

I have certainly learnt.....

And what cooler are you using on your card??? I doubt whether the stock cooler can reach those speeds......

And CPU and RAM do make a difference. Try it for yourself.

And again... the RAM you have is very good quality RAM. Mine can do 216MHz at 1T at 2-3-3-6.

Of course, I have not yt pushed it fully..... will do so when I have the time and patience....

Well i am using the stock cooler, but my chassis wires and cables are very neatly tied and the fans are adjusted for maximum convectional cooling.

Tried, negligible difference. the CPU drops it by 80 points. still over 6000

RAM is TwinMOS standard CDAG, 5000Rs. for a set of two 512 MB's :ohyeah:

Yes, that i know, that you haven't pushed it yet.. but carefull, don't fry that card. your cabling and PC build does not seem to be conducive to overclocking :bleh:

But I have left the side panel open with a big table fan blowing air directly at the open side of the cabinet.,.....

More than enough cooling. Check the Post your pictures thread for more pics abt my PC.

I will try to push the RAM now. That is next on my list....

Anyway..... for now you are the 3dMArk 05 king!!! CONGRATS!!

Excellent results there PCJedi.

Way to go.
BTW,which card you have ?
I know its 6800 but which make ?

Darklord posted 4.52 minutes later:

Well i tried OC'ing my card a little and also tried running benchies.

I used the DNA Drivers based on 76.44 or something i guess.

Interestingly even after overclocking,i dont get much increase in scores.

funny part is for 3dmark 2005 whatever be the speed,
the score is stuck at 5127 or something,be it 410/1100 or 420/1150....lol

Lets see, will try some default drivers or XG series and then try.

Till then, here is what i did,
