why did you buy a 9600GT graphics card? you did enjoy COD4 on a 6100 right? so why did you buy a 96GT?

well i dint say i enjoyed cod4 on 6100, i said i had played it, at least a part of it. i stopped playing the game for sometime because i wanted to enjoy it in my coming 9600gt. i have enjoyed other games on 6100 like battlefield2...etc.

dont you people get it?? i am not saying onboards are better than gcs i am saying onboards can to an extent run games.
if i could not have afforded a gc then i would have been enjoying onboard.

you can travel on a train or a plane, the plane is better if you can afford it take it or a train will do.

Then he says he upgradedfrom 8600GT to 9600GT.

Now he says he didn't enjoy it on onboard- so stopped doing it till he got the 9600GT :rofl:- COD4 u sickos. :P

can you show me where in my posts have i written i enjoyed playing cod4 on 6100 and enjoyed it. i said i could run it. read before posting any garbage.
 
i am not disputing that. for all those features you need powerful hardware but even with all these cool features off i still say you can play and enjoy games. the most imp thing to play and enjoy games is not hardware but an imagination and enthusiasm for games. a lot of people in the world cant afford to buy expensive hardware they enjoy their games on their onboards.

Well, COD4 isn't mentioned explicitly. But, it is a fine example of the load an average game puts on a computer. So, it can be concidered as a reference for other normal games.

^^^ eggjactly........the cheapness comes with its own riders...read problems...any card with sm 3,0 support will "RUN" the game, but there is a difference between running a game at 640X480/800X600 with almost all options turned off and running a game at 1280X1024 or higher with most option on and advanced filtering options turned on....fluid motion is very different from a stuttering frame rate...
Wrt to onboards , most ones are disabled cousins of their card brethen...half pipelines/sp disabled...and den there is the latency penalty for accessing the sytem memory.So even if newqer and "better" IGPs come to the scene they will still suck at playing the future games as the games themselves wud req better gpus...get this clear

wrt to larrabee intel has a lot to catch up..last time it was around doing anything wrthwhile was in the days of i740 .
and wrt to your rant abt sound cards maybe
1>Since it was "years ago" for which i assume ur were a noob back den ur friends duped you by passing off cheapo low grade L1 quotation stuff for "costly imported and better" equipment.

2>Speakers were crap

Apart from this i see no reason why ur vouching for onboard over a snd card ,,dats is i assume u can afford to buy one .

and yes if you read carefully i said you can enjoy, not i enjoyed cod4 on onboard.
