BSNL 3G Thread

and this is a bsnl 3G thread!
Thats why this thread had run so long and mods keep pruning the waste

Read the first few pages they are only about getting 3G speeds on 2G unlimited plan or free with hacks like changing to UMTS after connecting in 2G

People are still getting 3G speeds in 2G

Its just that as BSNL upgrades 3G infrastructure from metros to small town the hack stops working or speed is limited

Thats one of the reason 2G unlimited has FUP which might get removed when 3G integration is complete

^^You have mobile partner also installed in your PC (irrespective of you using to connect or not)???

Because as i said earlier, i am able to connect using mobile partner only. This windows dialer thing got automatically made in your PC or you created a new new dial up connection using network center ?

If automatic then how ?

^ Try the iPad sim.

BSNL - iPad
as u in chennai , is that true about capped @ 1 mbps with 10 or 15 GB / month .

as it's said on some forums .

even some say micro sim should work on data card even without DIY adopter .

any 1 have ans for such ?

^ Yes I got the iPad Micro SIM from Chennai as well as from Cochin. Well, there is no proof about that. I haven't seen anyone's post mentioning their speed has been capped nor about the data transfer limit being actually implemented ie if there is any at all in the first place. So as long as it works enjoy.

You can buy a MicroSIM to normal SIM adapter on eBay or can make one yourself from the SIM holder plastic itself.

Since the past 2 days, my mobile partner is showing "WCDMA BSNL 3G" instead of "HSPA" and the speeds absolutely suck. Anyone facing similar problem ?

It always shows WCDMA before connecting for me and once you are connected it switches to HSPA. Another SIM I have shows only HSDPA once connected.

Well, it finally depends on the CSC you go to. The two CSCs from where I have got iPad sims didn't bother to even ask whether I have an iPad or not, let alone see it.

Same thing used to happen with mine too, but now after connecting it stays at wcdma and the sites are too slow in loading, the max speed it reaches in that graph is 500kbps, earlier it used to go upto 2mbps.
