Bad luck. Try a different CSC. If its a category I CSC it will be open till 8pm, so go around 6 pm or something, so that main people won't be there. Lol.

will try , as far I know it's open till 6.30 pm.

I even tried with BSNL's associate seller - I asked " need this ipad sim to use for my data purpose , he said " umm , it won't work that way - it's locked to apple ipad , there will be no app work other than mac " :S

I felt like grabing some 1's ipad & smash it hard on his head:@
 
Ok so i have mentioned before about that weird issue wherein my BSNL 3G (or any connection using UMG 1831) wont reconnect itself and only connect through mobile partner. I have for now found a workaround for this.

Installed Vmware and installed windows XP in it and then installed the modem, cidial etc in that XP and now it works ;)
 
Anyone here from Pune and facing issues with BSNL 3G ?? I am not able to connect to BSNL 3G at all. EDGE is connecting but not able to surf as speeds are super low. BSNL 3G refuses to connect only. I even tried this in my blade and i dont get that H sign in the status bar even though i have done all settings like APN selection etc correct. EDGE works in mobile as in it connects but opening single page too is a pain.

I tried with Airtel EDGE, Tata docomo 3G (speed capped to 128kbps in 3G mode) and all are working fine so it is definitely BSNL issue.

Anyone with similar problem ?

Yes this was a network issue from BSNL mainly for 3G y'day evening.... Even my card faced the same issues in Kothrud area... I was not able to connect thru my N8 also in Viman Nagar.
 
Just FYI to pune folks, BSNL connection is working again. I hoped they would have removed the cap on speeds but nothing like that happened. Speeds still same at upto 2.5 Mbps.

I too am confused about this point as for me it shows 2048kbps but i ocassionally do get constant speeds of 2.5 Mbps in my connection. And sometimes bursts of 4-10 Mbps which is rare ofc. But yes we can take the speed of MDMA as an indicaton. I had once inserted the tata docomo SIM and checked the negotitiated speed and it was like 10xxx kbps (so 10.2 Mbps) for DL and 5.7 Mbps for UL.

Yes. Using UMG 1831 on W7.

Google "download reconnect" and u will get it.

The Same way, it happened during those 274 days :P

The only difference being ,no UL plans to enjoy such speeds :(
 
Any suggestions about the plan which could be used after getting spoiled by the 6 months unlimited 3G on BSNL. 10 days days to go before it expires. Was thinking to go for the 10GB for around 1k since 2 GB for 725 is not VFM IMO

Do a Rs 270 GPRS recharge with gives you 10GB, Altough its not a 3G plan still the speed is prteey good (bit more than 1MBps)
