BSNL 3G Thread

^^ Go here DC Files - Huawei E122

Uninstall Huawei Mobile Partner

1. Download Firmware update. Its a self-executable exe

2. Connect Huawei E122 , wait for 1 minuteand run the firmware file. Just keep pressing next

3. In case it asks for a password download the Huawei Unlocker from here :

4. Put in your IMEI , you should get the Unlock & Flash Code. Use the flash code for the firmware update.

5. After successfully finished plug off E122 and plug back after 1 minute

5. Download the Dashboard Update and install it on to your data card.

5. Download the Dashboard Win and intsall it in Windows.

6. Restart PC and plug back E122 wait 1-2 minutes and start Mobile Partner

Btw u did the Rs 4200 recharge online ? I am scared now to try the Rs 4200 online as the Rs 2500 one failed

7. You should see signal in Mobile Partnet....set bsnlnet as APN in Profile management and connect

I updated my E122's FW and dashboard long back. No issues in my Win 7 32bit. I'm yet to try 3G.
 
Please post review and post some speed test result with this. Have you tried with any external antenna.

just ordered it..might take a week to get delivered, once i get it, after checking the speed i'll go for the antenna(if required) and will post the review/speedtest here! :)
 
Got the new BSNL 3G SIM today.Tried it with my Nokia C5 via OVi suite.It connects to the internet and says "Connected" and the speed is "480 kB/s".Im able to browse the net.Speed is good.But once i download something or when i open multiple pages at the same time (say when the connection maxes out)... Internet stops working.It doesnt say disconnected or anything..i simply cant browse anymore.Same story with utorrents..when i run a torrent it runs for a minute and then abruptly stops ..it goes upto 250 kB/s and then gradually to nothing.

What seems to be the problem ? :(

same story with my C5 here :mad:
did you try and applied the hotfix which was suggested in the ovi suite?

This bsnl 3g is getting disconnected at regular 2gb transfer with E122 modem...........

Anyone knows hot to auto dial from IDM,

even after adding it doesn;t autoconnect,i have to manually dial it to reconnect ?

It should. Because the denominations are specific e.g. if BSNL has a full talk time offer at 500 and free on net calling offer at 501 then you can never get the full talktime / or natural talktime on the 501/- or vice versa. Vodafone has a special tariff of 301 for full talktime and when I select 301 in ICICI bank page, I get full talktime where as choosing 300 or 302 gets the usual talktime. Certain amount of recharge triggers certain plans I think. :)
 
^ Yes for Vodafone you are right. But for BSNL they have 'Recharges' and 'Topups', most of the online recharge sites does BSNL Topups in which only talktime is increased. The special recharges never work on these sites.

I just checked ICICI netbanking and it says only BSNL Topup, also the maximum amount is only Rs 1500 per transaction.
 
^^ Thing is I did the Rs 2500 3G Data recharge and though it showed successful at portal instantly but I did not receive any confirmation sms. Finally received an sms that the recharge cannot be processed. Now today in Portal it shows refund is initiated. So at least Rs 2500 3G data recharge is not working for me :(
 
ok.. again.

I did a 4200 yesterday. it was fine. used axis netbanking. from the group netbanking option.

I do 2 things.

Use the Windows dialer and all with redial option

I kill utorrent every hour and every 5 minutes i check if utorrent is running, if not start utorrent.

I do the second step coz sometimes during reconnection my torrents might not start. so for port/DHT updation.

one query.

somtimes the damn thing only log in to EDGE. the green light. how to avoid that?
 
I did BSNL data recharge top-up for Rs.98 as mentioned on bsnl portal drop down menu and I also got a successful confirmation on mobile but neither did I get Free Data nor did I get balance increase and the status shows successful.

Now when I tried calling customer care which as usual sucked and took me over 24 hours to reach them now say Rs.98 recharge is for 2g and not 3g. Then why on earth did BSNL put them under 3g data recharge top up drop down? Now that guy says I should forget that Rs.98 as I wont get it back and refused to take my complaint and banged the phone on my face.

Any idea what should I do to get back my Rs.98?
