BSNL EVDO - have some queries about speed and charges

Awesome speeds, why won't one mind going for EVDO, if we get such speeds. Currently getting 0.31 Mbps download speeds at -81dBM. I am still in office as of now, will check the speeds again after an hour or so.
both are wrong , i will send you the link after checking my ebay account but post your antenna ends pics and thanks for the reps

i second that @kaneunderground we can send you our download requirements , at the speeds you are getting it would not take much time for you to download the stuff you want.

well no light due to rains and storm and invertor is crying hoarse so an early night out . Will try posting the pigtail link by morning

SPEEDTEST DOESNT SHOW CORRECT SPEEDS FOR EVDO . I am getting 150 download speed and according to speedtest i have .25Mbps connection . Use IDM or only one torrent with good seeds running and global maximum number of connections not more than 200 and connected peers per torrent 30 . Best is use the utorrent guide to set it up correctly

will do so and dont get disheartened , try the speedtest in night and try moving the modem in your room and if doesnt work out adequate people are ready here itself to buy the same

kuduku : at office on my laptop, can't install utorrent here, will surely try once at home. Also will try and check IDM, i have the older version,Didn't know there was a specific setup guide for utorrent. I just run it on defaults after opening the port.
But i find the browsing to be a bit slower, with pages taking more time to load, can we do anything for that.

do not buy this only , we dont have N jack , The pics i posted earlier are correct . I bought this then had to buy a connector for them to make get it to the one i posted in pics . See your antenna end and decide . N jack was twice the size we use in our modem/ router antenna . They have that one also or send then your end pics

Well to avoid the confusion, what i will do tomorrow is try and take few pics of the patch antenna and the connector and post the same here. Post confirmation would look at ordering the same,
Yes the seller is from China, so i guess it would be better to order it directly to India, rather than shipping to any other country. This would be the litmus test for my setup, if i am able to pull this through.

I didn't buy the same. I was having connectivity issues with my reliance land line as signal was dropping. So they installed a patch antenna in my house, post which the signal strength has improved. For testing purpose i would use the same with pigtail to see if it makes any difference. It if really improves the speed and connectivity, then would look at procuring one locally.
is your reliance landline WLL ? if yes the patch antenna will work . And what about update on night speedtest ?

Yes, it's reliance wll. will post a pic of the antenna and box. Night speed test was ok, nothing great at -76dBM i was able to get a max download speed of 60 to 70 kB and was fluctuating a lot.
Current screenshot also shows full signal at -76dBM but speeds are max upto 25 to 30 kB/s in utorrent.
I got a reply from the ebay seller he is asking what type and name of connectors i want on the pigtail on both ends. Any ideas finally what type of cable i need to connect my 595u to this patch antenna.

Got one AC8700 to test speed and signals and i must say 595u does get more signals than other modems . Also tested the speeds, due to higher signals, 595u performance was better. Will be returning the AC8700 back to the seller.
@plikmuny : i have done a factory reset on the modem and restored original ESN it came with, let me know your plans to collect the same.Also sent you a pm, please send your contact details.

You are already getting such good speeds, now what do you plan to do with the the connector and cable, connect an external antenna.
The seller has also mentioned in that listing that it will no increase network strength but will boost transmission speed only.

I lead the topic open for the experts to answer, post testing the signals at my place, i am sure i need to get an external antenna to get below -60dBM. Currently after roaming around the house the best signal i got was -71dBM with 5 bars.The download speed i got was around 70KB/s in utorrent. At times it would hit 90+ but would drop back to 60s.

@kuduku Done sir, order placed, the seller will ship from Honkong to India. Dunno how much time it will take to reach by post. Also i am looking out for another modem to use with my sim.
How is the AC2766 any reviews or feedback on the same. I tried the AC8700, but was not that happy with it. As discussed with you, planning to use one modem at home and one for travel.
