English TV series discussion

@sharktale1212

I thought they handled the seasons pretty well..I watched all of these episodes in a marathon sort of the way so my idea of the timeline or seasons may be a bit blurred here, but I think this is what happened:
Spoiler alert>
season 1: The intern wars and Peter's release
season 2: Peter's election and Will-Alicia's relationship (will they won't they), Cary's out of L-G
season 3: the new partner who gets kicked out, Will and Alicia again and DA's office battle with L-G
season 4: the governor's election, battle within the firm and a walk towards Florrick-Agos
Season 5: right now, Florrick-Agos vs LG

and then there are a whole lot of mini cases and stories which I think are threaded better than most TV series around now (on air now)

Giving up on Homeland, season 3 has been such a snoozefest. First two seasons were good with decent pacing but i always found the show to be overrated but now it's turned into a family drama with plot lines and characters that simply aren't interesting.
Let me know when this has more Nicholas and less Dana.

Saw the 6th episode just a while ago and it has given me a reason to continue with the show as of now. But I agree, the show has always been overrated and the so-called twist at the end of episode 4 of this season was really disappointing!

Don't know if this has been posted earlier but came across this sometime ago on Reuters, Showtime renews Emmy-winning 'Homeland' for fourth season.

I really hope what Damian Lewis has said/hinted in the above article isn't true. Have always been a huge fan of his since I first saw him in A Band of Brothers.

Nice episode by PoI this week.
Time to ready yourself for mid season finale.

Seems like HR storyline will be wrapped in the upcoming 3 episode arc.

Yep .. more HR focussed in the coming episodes then whatever that root was warning about will happen..
I have bad feeling about Joss now .. Lester Freamon won't go down that easy.

Just finish watching Korean TV series called I "I hear your voice"..wow totally blown away by Drama.. it wasba court room drama with some great romantic story going on ..

Tried watching Orange is the new Black and ended up deleting the entire season halfway through Ep-6.
Utter rubbish and nonsense.

The show has no redeeming qualities at all. At the very least I was expecting some fan-service but nope.

Yes, I too never made past the 4th episode. This drama is definitely not for everyone.

American horror story is fantastically made this season. However, the constant focus on Jessica Lange should be toned down in my opinion. Lily Rabe has had such a small role till now. Wish to see more of her
The last scene with her was awesome in the latest episode where she revives Myrtle Snow

Its more of a an light hearted uplifting drama series .. its about coming to terms with who you really are.
If anything the surprising big cast of characters and their back stories is worth the watch

very rarely if ever do you hear a bad review of the show.

It is definitely not a bad show. It's just not my cup of tea :p

it has been difficult for me to get past the 1st episode...mainly due to Non HD quality

But due to repeated recommendations...I made a concious effort, and I am glad I did

The fourth season of "The Wire" is the best season of any TV series I have watched.
  • Recently started watching 'Deadwood'. Interesting so far (up-to the 5th episode). Dirty western setting with load of profanities. Ian McShane is brilliant as Al.
  • Watched a couple of episodes of 'House of Cards'. It's good, but do not feel it's great at this point.
  • Homeland is annoying. Cannot stand Claire Danes or Morgan Saylor (I hope we never see Dana again). If not for my ridiculous need to finish a season, would not have stuck around. Only the last episode was slightly interesting.
