then mine also seems to be a similar case. the package too has a sticker of 'matte for nexus 7', albeit i can also see reflections on it when the device is off. i chose a 'sasta waala' over a 'mahanga waala' on ebay, and now i wish and hope that i don't 'roun baar-baar'. :P ;)
 
Went to phoenix mall Bangalore on Wednesday and no one had a case for it.

I was thinking of checking it out first then order. I guess I will finalize over this weekend.

same here. couldn't get either the case or the screenguard locally. the case that i ordered is very similar to what raksrules has, and he is happy with it.
 
not noticing any screen-flickers now, after putting the tab off of auto-brightness, not even on the lowest brightness settings. also, read that its a hardware-issue. several people who got theirs replaced found the new one too having the same issue, while there were others who didn't find it on the replacement tab. like a chap afflicted with electronics-OCD, should i ask flipkart for a replacement?! :p
and, would they accept my request?! sorry, but haven't ever got any product replaced from flipkart, so don't know if there are any conditions that need to be fulfilled.

could anyone please check his tab with 'auto-brightness' ON and on google maps/google chrome (and with weak wifi signal), if the screen-brightness flickers or not? if yes, then i won't ask for replacement, otherwise would.

^^ this kind of issue can be experienced with any device capable of both hardware and software graphics acceleration... tablets, phones, laptops, etc.

here, the device is unable to choose between a software or hardware renderer. common fix is a firmware update which stops this flip-flop. there's no guarantee that your replaced device will be free of this issue, unless it's explicitly fixed.

alright. thanks! this issue has been reported from atleast June 2012( and including either of the C6O, C7O, C8O S/N devices) and mine is a March 2013 make (D3O S/N). should probably call flipkart to talk about this.

UPDATE: I had written to flipkart y'day, and had got a reply this evening, to follow some preliminary steps, to which i had replied. just checked my email-inbox, and found that i had received an email from them 1 hour back, which writes of replacing the product. this would take place latest by 11th of Dec. great service! :)

To those who have received cases for N7. Anyone using that as a stand. I want to watch movies on it but dont want to hold it.

both will be good. i got mine because i wanted to have a multi-angled case, which i think is not possible to have in the latter one. am using it as a stand too; does the work.[DOUBLEPOST=1386575602][/DOUBLEPOST]@raksrules and @Vagabond , could you please tell me which batch are your tabs from, ie, the manufacturing date? mine is from March, 2013 (S/N - D3OK.....).
 
These tablets haven't gone out of stock yet? Exactly how many of these have they produced. The new one has also arrived.
 
Guys, I've never bought a tab before and the recent price drop has got me thinking now. Planning to get a 32 gb version. I wanted to know how's the battery life on this and also, does it read external usb hdd via otg? I know there's no calling facility on this tab but i overheard someone that there is a fix for that... Probably false info. Can someone guide me?
