CPU/Mobo Getting DFI mobos in India officially

Quaddy, as it looks from Freaky's email - Vinod (ITDepot) looks to be checking out OCZ as well. So who knows, it might come here as well :)

@Anish: Thats Funky's OCZ, which he bought from Masky. Masky has another set of OCZ - EL Plat Rev.2's. Guess he's interested in selling em too :)

Masky , if its TCCD dont sell it.
Keep it with you and it will help u reach high clocks.

Its TCC5, he's done 295MHz 2.5-4-3-7 prime stable with that AFAIK on a Asus A8N-E

^^ COrrection.. that was on DFI at 2.8V. I was contemplating on selling them. But will sell them if i get a good price and/or if some enthusiast is desperately looking for such uber stuff :)

Update on the availability :

Hi Mahesh,
We will be getting the DFI boards by the 20th Max of the coming month.

As far as Intel Boards go, DFI might launch some new products on the Intel Platform, waiting for the update so might not be part of this lot,

I will send you the options on the Intel boards; it will help us identify the right board.
I have been quite busy in the last couple of weeks, so have not spend time on the memory front as of now.

Will update you on the developments.
Thanks & Regards,
Vinod

Will do. Can u gimme the links on DFI website for these boards ? Am on dial-up and can't afford to go around searching for the boards.

EDIT : Gotcha ! Was a NEWS item on their home page. Will mail Vinod the link ASAP. But is it only the SLI board that's been introduced under the Expert series ?

link i have added in the previous post.

here is the general features and changes from the old versions of the board as mentioned on their website.

"DFI, a world leader of motherboards and maker of the award-winning LANParty motherboard series, is proud to announce today the launch of LANParty UT nForce4 SLI-DR Expert , a suped-up version of the LANParty nForce4 SLI motherboards. The LANParty UT nForce4 SLI-DR Expert features an improved design where the PCI-e x16 slots are placed wider apart to provide space for larger VGA coolers. This new layout allows for greater performance of the VGA cards. To facilitate the overclocking process, a convenient PCI-e configuration setting is incorporated in the BIOS of the LANParty UT nForce4 SLI-DR Expert to enable easy switching between SLI and non-SLI mode. Furthermore, the n ew LANParty UT nForce4 SLI-DR Expert comes with 8-pin power connector (instead of 4) to provide more stable power source. A 4-phase PWN (increased from 3-phase) was implemented to offer better stability and smother performance. In addition, a smaller Karajan TM 8-channel audio card was incorporated to give more space for other larger devices. Finally, the new LANParty nForce4 SLI-DR Expert comes with even better overclocking range.

Consistent with the RockSolid TM performance of the LANParty series, the LANParty UT nForce4 SLI-DR Expert is made of 6 layers of PCB for enhanced stability, non-iron choke for increased heat absorption, 100% Japanese capacitors for best overclockability, low ESR solid capacitors to ensure safety, and magnetic-levitated fan to eliminate noise. Karajan TM 8-channel audio card is again an added bonus to maximize the game and video sound effect.

Finally, the LANParty UT nForce4 SLI-DR Expert comes with DFI's famous Genie BIOS and CMOS Reloaded TM , offering users a wide-range of tweaking features and customized setup that can be saved on-the-fly and accessed by a simple hot-key."

Naa the Expert is way better for overclocking. Also it doesnt have the overheating and jumper issues. Could you confirm if the crossfire boards are reference design or oskar wu design? I believe there'll be two versions of the same!

It seems that only the LanParty series will be here in the first shipment along with the Crossfire board. Have asked Vinod for a list of all the boards due in the first shipment.

@ Chaos, will ask Vinod abt. the Crossfire board and post here. BTW, what's the difference between the LP UT and the plain LP series boards ?

He is. The Infinity r the budget boards offered by DFI. Had given him info on that earlier based on Ed's post. Don't worry - Infinity will be here. It's only abt. the top-end boards that there is apprehension.
