That model has good thermals, so no issues. But with RX 6700XT at 35k, it paints bad value on 3060Ti & 3070. So take your call on if RT & DLSS are worth that much to you. At 2K, 8GB VRAM might start filling up in future, I can't run FH5 at extreme preset because I run out of VRAM on my 3070.

Sounds good. I was leaning towards MSI myself as I've been using MSI cards since 8800GT then my current 1060.

From what I have read, 6700XT is a competitor to 3060Ti and not 3070. I am not very happy spending 50k on a 8GB card at this point, since I plan to use this GPU for the next 5 years at least. So still trying to decide between 3060Ti and 3070. Can wait a few more months for 4060 Ti, but it will surely cost more than 50k at launch.

6700XT is indeed a competitor to 3060Ti. 3070 is like 12-15% faster, but 15k extra for a 15% fps boost is still not a good value.

Or 6800xt is needed for a 1440p resolution?

I want to get more than 100fps in games.
Which AMD card gives me more than 100fps in games in 1440p resolution?
 
Planning to goto Ritchie Street tomorrow and hopefully grab a 6700XT or a 3060ti. Will be playing at 1080p for another year before upgrading to 1440.

will do. have a floating budget of 35~45k and the main game i'll be playing will be warhammer3. its maxing VRAM in my 1060 6GB. So the 12GB 6700xt is looking attractive but the 3060ti did marginally better in the benchmarks.

If you want 100fps in a game like Cyberpunk 2077, pick 6800/6800XT or 3080 (no 3070Ti at current prices).

Even 3060 should be able to push 100+ fps in MP games like Rainbow 6 at 1440p.

It won't make much of a difference to the current midrange (3060Ti/6700xt etc) tbh since they'll be announcing the high end GPUs only.
Definitely worth waiting 6 days though just to see if it'll affect current market prices in any way.
