well i guess HD5770 is enough for 1600x900 res. and the price is better too
i was worried about its "problems"
does anyone know which brand provides the best warranty i.e. 3 year warranty?
is there any website listing the prices of various models of HD5770 in India? (techshop sucks, too overpriced)
Msi with 3yrs warranty. :D

Please someone help me clear this doubt. Do XFX GPU's come with 3 years warranty ? Or is HIS the only company to offer 3 year warranty?

Hello Guyz...

I am working on a small video project and will be editing it on my PC with Adobe Premiere pro (probably)..

Was willing to make a small addon for better post processing...

My current rig is -

AMD Phenom 9650 Quad core processor

Asus M3N78-EM mobo

Corsair XMS2 3GB DDR2 RAM

Nvidia Gforce 8300 IGP

Seagate 500GB HDD

Corsair CX400 PSU

Now I am confused whether I should add another 2GB stick of RAM or should get a decent GPU (4k range)

Getting a GPU will be a better option..

If your budget is strictly 4k..

HD 4670 ~ 3.8k

But it will make more sense adding in 1k and getting the HD 5670 ~ 4.9k..

much more powerful..much more VFM..

@ashvarybabul : You could get a decent gpu for 4k or get a low end gpu and spend the rest on RAM/ or save the money - XFX Radeon (ASS is BAD) 4670 1GB costs 3.5k and you can spend the rest on RAM ? 2 GB in seconds will cost about 900 rupees.

Just checked theitwares.com for HD5670.. Cheapest one available there is Rs 5.5k :p

Though budget is not strictly 4k but flexible max upto 5k..

Buddy, getting a used piece of RAM is the issue..

already put a WTB thread for RAM 1 week ago.. no success.. and new one is 2k around (corsair xms2)

BTW, guyz is this a good deal for the price..

@ashvarybabul.

If you are adding more than 3GB RAM, you need to change your OS to 64 bit & Adobe Premiere pro 64Bit (if not done already).

If you going for new GPU make sure your current 400 Watt PSU will support it.

Post processing is just a matter of time, if you can spend additional 10 min on it, you don't need to buy a GPU or RAM.

Have you tried Adobe Premiere pro in your current config? Go ahead and check.

Good luck..

Guys plz suggest
  1. Processor
  2. Motherboard
  3. PSU
that are perfect for XFX ATI 5770.
What I need is the cheapest processor available that won't bottleneck GPU.
A cheap and best PSU (~ 2K).
Is FSP saga II 350 sufficient ?
No OC.

^^ Processor - AMD Athlon II X3 440 3.4k

M.b - MSI 880GMA-E41 4.1k

PSU - Corsair CX400W 2.8k

Do not go for FSP saga II 350.

I would suggest the FSP SAGAII 400w/ Gigabyte Superb 460 min. If u can extend the budget a little then the Seasonic S12II 430w/ Corsair CX400 ~ 2.6k
