^ It is in Canada BB. However only in stores. That's what their website says

No no Longer on any Major Stores, i've checked almost all of them & it shows they are out of stock in all store locations.
HP Store shows $99 & $150 but if click on Purchase from HP Store it takes you to their original price link i.e. $399 & $499 :@

Try the HP SMB link. It shows the right prices in cart too. It is another thing you have to be super patient as the site is loaded

i called up local bestbuy 3 hours back and they were sold out on the tablet. Walmart too had none, had been there in the evening.

Golden rule of US shopping

Never call any store for a deal

You have to physically go there

One Major question on my mind.

Is it worth buying the TouchPad with HP stopping support/ development on the WebOS?

yesssss
See the price with hardware then compare
And you will have android ported on this in one month
and ubuntu is already running
so what else can you desire
Port iOS:)

for those trying from HP SMB there is a tip, use opera turbo mode. refresh once when you get the error(keep refreshing till you get to next page).

took me half an hour to order one. and most importantly have a US credit card(or it's details) ready in hand.

any idea of Customs & shipping charges if get someone to ship it from Canada to India?

Guys - its neither Android powered nor iOS.

20$ for an MSDN a/c is stumbling on a goldmine

100$ for a pair of UE TF10's is a smokin' hot deal

100$ for a 30GB Zune PMP refurb made sense 2 years ago

120$ for a 16GB Zune HD refurb made sense around a year ago

200$ for a WP7 smartphone with Mango is all the rage as of now

350$ for an 1st Generation Ipad 16GB refurb is simple common sense

I'd give anyone who buys this a month at most before dust starts collecting all over it.

Consider getting this only if you plan on investing in a very fancy Digital Photo frame.

^ Wow, didn't think of that DP utility. So now it has two uses at the least for me - browsing, and photo frame. Totally worth the 100 USD if I get one that is :P

its better than those cheap china models & even though you wont get many apps on it, its still a best buy for a device for Full Web Browsing Experience, watching Movies/videos, reading ebooks, email client is good as well, so is the Synergy sync function. for 8k it is an amazing deal.
