Guys anyone knows the breakup of the pricing if I decide to buy it from the US using comgateway?

Trying to figure out if it makes sense at all with the rising exchange rate, no warranty in India etc.

I figure it out to be like this:
Nexus 4 = 399$ +
Shipping to Comgateway warehouse = 9.99$ +
Shipping to India = 25$
Total = 433.99$ (Rs. 27,341.37 @ Rs. 63 per $)

Am I missing anything? Someone told me that I maybe charged customs. However, I was not charged customs when shipping via PPOBox when I imported my Nexus 4.

I save a total of Rs. 5,658 if I buy from the US provided there are no customs. But of course, that means I will not get warranty. So Rs. 5,658 for warranty? What do you guys think?

Shipping via comgatway, chance of customs is 100% , they will also break seal to check.

I checked with a shop guy in National Market, Blore.. he said stock should be available next week, not sure of the price

Just a small heads up. If any of you N4 owners want to test KitKat performance before spending all your money on an N5, the ROMs are in a relatively decent state right now. With a few simple tweaks, my N4 is now up to speed, possibly even faster than 4.3. I'm putting away upgrading for now.

The official builds will probably be even better.

Guys,
My order is shipped to ppobox, but the damn ppobox website is down.. how to register the package..If i couldn't what happens to my package?

Is their website still down. I was trying to send a payment 2 days ago and it was down then too.

Nexus 5 stock? And he probably is a sales guy, how much would he know :| I think a official higher position guy can help with the date of the release.

Yeah the play store prices are inclusive of taxes, Also a local dealer says the local market price will be Lil less then the play store price.

The biggest disappointments for me in the Nexus 4 were the battery life and the camera. Just hoping Nexus 5 improves upon these.

Although I'm going to be buying the Nexus 5, I don't see much of an upgrade over the Nexus 4 in terms of features.

Is Rs. 32,999 the price inclusive of taxes?

Don't buy imported stock unless its cheaper. Remember, no warranty.[DOUBLEPOST=1383371688][/DOUBLEPOST]
How much did you pay to import it here? And also how much did you pay total?

389 usd for new jersey. I just registered in ppobox shipping and custom would cost 2.5k.. last time when i imported nexus 4.. it costed 1.5k.

Features? There are tons of features in both kitkat and hardware of Nexus 5.
Good article. Hopefully the decreased battery consumption will make a real difference.

That being said, Kitkat will soon be released for for Nexus 4 too if it hasn't already so that kind of nullifies that point.

Hardware wise, the camera, processor and the display is an upgrade. But yet, the camera didn't get a great review http://techcrunch.com/2013/10/31/hands-on-with-the-nexus-5-and-android-4-4-kitkat/
That leaves out the processor and display. My Nexus 4 runs almost all apps and games smoothly so again that nullifies the processor advantage. So that leaves out the display, which I agree does trump the Nexus 4. Is it worth upgrading for a better display? I don't think so but yet I want the latest Nexus in my hand.

I'm not complaining considering its priced accordingly. But, just providing an objective comparison.[DOUBLEPOST=1383385111][/DOUBLEPOST]

Thanks for the reply.

Yeah last time it was 1.5k.

What did you input as the dimensions and weight in ppobox?
