Over to Cambridge with the former home secretary and alum. She's an immigrant from Uganda after Idi Amin kicked the Indians out. Her parents didn't attend University so it must have been pretty big when she was accepted.
Former because she resigned at the lack of police action as the protests wore on in London. She is the equivalent of the interior minister here. Cabinet level.
Cambridge is a great teaching environment, supposed to foster discussion, exploration of ideas, respect, freedom of thought but recently we see thuggery, intimidation and harassment where one side blasts out their messages with a megaphone and the other is supposed to shut up
Universities shouldn't take political positions. They're not here to indoctrinate or to be vehicles of political campaigns
These are supposed to be some of the brightest and best students in the land. Taught in the art of articulating their views and expressing their arguments in a coherent way
Not a single person will engage with a former cabinet minister?
If they're protesting shouldn't they be saying why they're protesting. Don't they have a slogan that goes Silence is violence?
What kind of protest actively avoids sharing its views at every opportunity? At having a chance to sway others to their cause? This is a protest where the protestors realise, even if not consciously, that they cannot argue their own beliefs with logic or facts. Only virtue-signalling 'feelings'.
How is a protest of any use, if you do not take the opportunity to debate and put forth your views when blatantly offered? They were being given a platform, regardless of how 'biased' they think that platform may be. What is to be gained by protest if you only talk to those who already agree with you? Is a protest not itself a way to communicate beliefs to those with whom you disagree? There's no point protesting for the benefit of those who already agree with you.
Good on Suella for showing up these ignorant fools and their inability and fear to stand up for their beliefs.
Not a single word other than get out of our effing campus
Can't have a conversation with fanatics and it appears cowards.
Looks like a gimmick, looks like a stunt. Are they actually sincere?
Their idea of a liberated zone is standing out in the rain getting wet, masks and balaclavas on
What are we to make of this?
The London marches started back in October not to protest Israel but to celebrate Oct 7.
Oct 7 was not an act of despair as most people think but an action carried out by Hamas with the intent to win. This is why they immediately posted their showoff videos. Israel lost that day. No way to sugarcoat it.
See the way some student slashes the portrait of Lord Balfour. Nothing was done. This behaviour was tolerated so it emboldens further misbehaviour.
So Cambridge decided to grow a pair and sent somebody semi intelligent to debate Suella. The best they could find was a national campaigns coordinator from the revolutionary communist party. Lol. I would love to know what course this kid is studying at Cambridge because the one speaking for Columbia was a
complete joke.
Does Israel have a right to exist? I think that's a silly question..
If you dodge that question it means no, you don't believe Israel has a right to exist
Does Israel have a right to defend itself? Israel does not have a right to do what it's doing which is a genocide.
Then what should Israel do instead? This question has been asked by Israeli spokespeople on numerous channels and there is no better alternative offered. She obviously doesn't even know what genocide means but it's a fashionable term to use these days.
But ICJ has said legally what Israel is doing is a genocide
No, they have not said that and one of the former judges had to
clarify this point since everybody misunderstood it because interested parties purposely twisted it.
The slogan from the river to the sea is anti semitic. Do you you agree? No, it's not anti semitic
The Arabic version is from the river to the sea, Palestine will be Arab. Much clearer in Arabic than English.
Do you want to smash the capitalist system? Absolutely, because capitalism produces war and imperialism
Matter of time before this kid brought out the communist manifesto. lol. All she knows is to parrot soviet anti Israeli propaganda verbatim from the 60s.
She won't condemn Hamas. She took quite a few shots at the former secretary as well.
This is the state of universities in the west. They've been captured by the left. No viewpoint diversity. The west looked away after the defeat of communism but the comrades came over and took over the universities. Slowly & stealthily they indoctrinated a generation that will carry forth those ideas. The solution isn't how to reform these universities but how to protect society from them.
There is a very simple response to all these kids.
Israel wins. Hamas loses. If the choice is between becoming a pariah state which is an empty threat and surrender then the former is preferable.
Otherwise Oct 7 repeats from Gaza. The people in Judea & Samaria think they can too and so will hezbollah. Israel will face a recurring three front fight in perpetuity.
As to what comes after the war, the plan is to change the education system so there are no parties that promote killing Israelis. There will be a military government in place until such time it is suitable to change to civilian.
That is the Israeli plan whether the world likes it or not. The world does not have to worry about getting kidnapped from their beds. Israel does.
