This is available for cheap on flipkart but I will order it only once I play and finish the original Portal which I have installed on my computer. So I may be playing it in 15-20 days.

Portal 2 just arrived at my doorstep! However Steam is asking me to download 600 MB of updates. That's a super bummer :(

@ubergeek The trip was like cancelled. But we may still go. I'll just tell you when I finish the SP campaign and we can play co-op. Mostly I'll not be going.

Whoa seeing all of you talking about this game so much is making me go nuts, is this really this awesome? :O I play usually games like Assassins Creed,POP,Batman AA etc Will i love this game? Should i buy it?

i also got this game today. 620mb of update on installation. taking forever.:@

the package had nothing but the dvd with paper cover with one thick page with keybpard controls on one side and key on other side. Compared to other games the packaging isn't nice. But hoping the game would be gr8.:D

played for about 2 hours yesterday. Most of it was flashback of portal 1 with partially destroyed lab, which looks good.

Liked the 2 new things added in the gameplay, viz :
the laser deflector and the light bridge. Hoping to see much more applications of these in future levels. the dialogues of the evil computer are also well written

probably they are working on a new engine for the next half life..! If it happens then that would be effin awesome!

No dude, completely brand new engine is unlikely. I had read somewhere that back when they started development on Source, one of their main goals was make it modularized. So that whatever new features they want can simply be plugged in, instead of having to create new engines for each game. They will eventually have to give up Source though, but they will try to extend it as long as possible.

You know it's really strange. Aperture Science is a hilarious, out-of-this-world place. And the Half-life world is so serious. It's hard to believe that they actually have a connection and both exist in the same world.

Also what time does all this take place. In which year did the resonance cascade happen? In which year did the Combine invade? In which year did Eli Vance die? What is the year at the start of the first Portal? What is the year at the start of Portal 2?

Read it somewhere in some Interview that Portal 2 could be infact the last standalone SP game that Valve makes.

That could be good news and bad news.

Bad : HL3 never sees the light of the day

Good : HL3 could have an awesome co-op mode. . Alyx :wink: :wink:
