Prince of Persia: Game Impressions

A very good game! I've just started playing it, and don't have any complains so far. I loved the previous 3, and should love this one when i finish it :)
 
Is this game available anywhere in India? (I am not ready to buy from stupid ebay sellers who quote 2500 for this game ;)).

I see nextword.in quoting 950 rupees but the status is "Currently unavailable" :( What crap, it has been so many days from release and still not available in India!!! :huh:
 
This games becomes repetitive ...same for other ubisoft games like assassins creed :p
gta 4 has amazing gameplay,story i wish they could have optimised the game properly :mad:

that's the feeling i'm getting as well. i'm not very far into the game but i'm already getting the feeling i've done everything there is in the game. don't get me wrong, it's very nice... stylish, looks gorgeous, some pretty cool moves... but by the time you've cleared the first fertile ground you've seen most of what the game has to offer. by the 4th, it's just a chore to get through it.
 
The enemies start taking different forms as you progress. Each of them pose a different challenge. The best challenge is to collect as many light seeds as possible - More like a mini-game :)

well yea the enemies change but your style of fighting doesn't change significantly does it? all i end up doing is gauntlet air attack + acrobatic attack + the chick's magic when she's in range. it doesn't really change from this.

collecting the seeds is challenging only in the sense of finding out where you need to go. otherwise it's same basic platforming all the way.

i'm not saying it's bad or anything.... just gets boring after a while.

But there seems to be bugs here and there. Too much of HDR lighting after the grounds've been healed.

I'm on catalyst 8.11 though. I think I should shift to 8.12.

@Freaky and Dinesh: Were you guys on 8.11 or 8.12?? :)
 
If you come across some good place to buy this game, please let me know. The e-bay link someone posted above is expired :(

switch to 8.12... it fixes the insane bloom on the characters. it's a known issue that got fixed..
 
Interesting game, but yeah it gets a tad repetitive, they should have more easy combat in between (like warrior within) where you can try all the cool combos...

But the cell shaded gfx looks really cool. Whats the best part is that sarcastic humour which was missing in warrior within, and two thrones...
 
i found the writing average at best. the jokes were childish (and the prince talking happily in an american accent didn't help) and the story was extremely generic...
 
Finished the game early morning :lol:, completed 50% of the game last night alone (started around 12.30am and ended up finishing the game at 4am :lol:), while i took more than a week to finish the first half :p.

I wasn't really satisfied with the ending though :p
 
Completed it yesterday night. Was a decent game. Loved the visuals but the combat system was irritating. Repeating enemies is not my idea of fun. Storyline was not that good either. The conversations weren't even half decent compared to the previous POP titles. No weapon upgrades & not even a different weapon to pick up. :no:
 
The Concubine's making me go nuts!! :mad:

Completed around 14 fertile grounds so far. Finished the Hunter. Have to hunt for the light seeds. :(

Sadly no weapon upgrades. Lets hope the second title implements these shortcomings.
 
^Collect the light seeds as much as possible and get all the powers so in the later stage you don't need to hunt for 'em, you can just skip and finish the game :p. I first finished off the warrior , then the concubine followed by the Alchemist and the hunter. Hunter and Alchemist were so easy. Concubine is the annoying one :p.
