[PSA] BEWARE : STOLEN Goods selling on facebook and watsapp groups.

Anyone here on LinkedIn ? Try posting this thread link there ? Hopefully it will catch the eye of relevant people within the company ...

I missed the 2nd half of the story!

That means it wasn't swapped in transit from the warehouse to your home; it happened even before it was entered into Amazon's inventory!
And what about the process that they use to SWAP the CPU from within Sealed Pack. Don't know how they could do that.

This means that now even the seal packed CPU are can't be trusted.

See that unboxing video again in full HD/4k resolution. One can see that original AMD seal lower half was covered by another paper like seal/sticker which I have never seen in any original amd processor box seal.

while this is possible, i think they are being swapped at Amazon's warehouse with the help of warehouse guardians. two or more processors getting swapped and fakes shipped from same warehouse and both originals ending up at same place (Jora) is not a coincidence. im pretty sure that 3rd from FB group was also swapped at same warehouse.

You're right as Amazon management themselves don't have proper portfolios and control over their warehouse and delivery divisions. Same with Flipkart as well. This is not new but got more rampant these days and shows their attitude in tackling these kind of serious issues.

It is just a White Tape Deliberately placed by them to hide the serial number .But The QR code is Not covered. You can scan it to check authenticity of the seal.
Can be removed.
I kept it as i downt want to mess up the box. i kept it as it was delivered.

I tried.trust me. on call, via email. But i failed.
Customer Care told me they can only help with ORDERS.i asked them to arrange a callback , but i nerver received any.

If anyone here Knows Someone from AMAZON or Himself or Herself Works at Amazon and can connect me to the relevant team,
I can help amazon with some lead in this matter and then they can launch a formal investigation.

There are ways to open the processor box seal & then reseal it without tearing/breaking it off as per some comments on reddit. Just the fact that anything else is there on the box other than official amd seal is enough to show the package was tempered with.

If the seal could be removed and then the box could be resealed easily, then that fails the whole protection value that we attach to a SEALED BOX, specially in the case of such relatively high value items as 9 7900x CPU.

If you can't even trust a completely sealed pack box, then what is the point of the seal? Really disturbing.

I have messaged the admin of that group with proof against Jora. First, he was refusing to accept that Jora would do anything of that sort, as he is a "trusted" member. After seeing the matched serial numbers, he mentioned that Jora admitted to getting the processors from someone else. I have asked him to reveal the source of those processors, because they are stolen, and a legal case will be filed against Jora.

Waiting for a reply. I think Jora is the culprit, and is lying.

UPDATE: @samiryadav please keep checking the group for an updated post. Hopefully, the source of the scam will be known. You can then proceed with action.

This GUY Thakkar Nishit Blocked me when i asked him to Ask JORA to disclose the seller's information.
he Said he is not interested in such things BECAUSE I AM NOT PAYING HIM and he isnot my assistant.
First defended him, then he is not willing to take any responsibility.

Man, I feel so lucky I found TE when I did. I used to sell almost every week on Facebook Marketplace and I am still on good terms with many of the admins on most groups.

I did have a horror story, I sold some 4x 1080TIs that had rust on them but I tested them for 2 days and took so many photos of all working perfectly (I did not take a video - my fault!).
The person that bought from me actually sold to someone else at higher price, and arranged for shipping directly to the next buyer. Something didn't work at his end, so the person I sold to, without taking a look at cards himself or talking to me, sold to 4th person by arranging pickup from the last buyer.
When the cards didn't work, he started calling me, pressurizing me to refund even though he was going to make around 25% profit with basically 0 investment. I had done the deal via admin, and since he was okay with the cards when they reached buyer 1, I had received my payment.
Many group admins, (not even of the group where the deal happened) tried to threaten me, pressurize me saying the seller is a kid, his dad is crying and all, but I didn't budge because I sent all 4 working cards from my end. If I was going to scam, why would I deal via admin?
In the end, I think the kid almost doubled his money as one of he admins was able to RMA the cards by their contacts with service center, and prices had risen in the meanwhile.
From that point I think dropshipping stopped on most groups. They now have rules that you can only sell what you have in possession (Admins of course do not have to follow that rule).

After this, I stopped selling on there.

I don't have proof so not going to name and shame, but I know enough to understand that admins of most fb groups are deal snipers, cross-sell to others at inflated prices, and make the most money by selling 'Open Box' products without bill. And 'Open Box without bill' = stolen.

There are many groups on FB for 'Amazon return products'. They claim the items are from Amazon sellers that received the return from customers and the products can't now be sold as new as customers will likely return again, but now we also know what the actual reality is.

nothing new here? there's shit like this going on for years now. That's why I avoid all FB marketplaces like a plague and even TE to an extent.
Tried to post on r/IndianGaming but my post was flagged for moderation, hopefully enough lurkers here caught on to this and cancelled their orders.
looks like they did end up deleting your post, those ****head mods lol, they never change
@altair21 This is not even the tip of the iceberg, this fraud guy is just among at least a few thousand who regularly scam amazon on a scale of few lakhs every month.
a few lakhs is just a drop in the bucket for them brother, and Amazon doesnt even bear the brunt of it, they force it on the sellers instead and just take a cut of the transaction. a friend of mine owns a major Electronics brand agency, this is the reason why he doesnt sell on Amazon, customer returns product with any bullshit reason, and he has to take it back, no questions asked, and guess whether he's able to sell it again for MRP? ding ding ding! He cant, so he's forced to give major discounts on the product and sell it to third party distributors.
please understand this episode is impossible without internal "setting" within amazon.
probably a warehouse manager scamming Amazon and us, atleast that's how its almost is in other countries.

Or even the seller (Not possible in this case, as Amazon itself is the seller).

If you want to sell Amazon-Fulfilled items to be shipped from their warehouse, all you have to do is pack the items individually and have all stickers on individual product boxes, and then pack the whole thing before Amazon picks it up from your doorstep.
Every time a customer orders, Amazon warehouse picks one from your items, slaps a label/packs in bigger box and ships to customer (charging a pack-and-ship fee to seller). Nowhere in the process anyone checks if your listed item and the one you shipped to Amazon are the same.

The mods there are not good & considering it's not even a political sub related to India that's saying something. They behave just like those bureaucrats who would rather write a half dozen pages approval letter with at least 4 different levels of signing authorities just to install a water dispenser in office.

A few lakhs*1000 scammers=a few dozen crores every month. They force it on sellers if they are "external sellers" but any fraud done on "appario/clicktech/its various clones" is entirely borne by amazon.

From what I know sellers do have the option of video recording the entire process of packaging which would help in case customers claim they didn't receive the product ordered inside the package.

heh, they are a special case of nutjobs, I remember when these idiots came back after the Reddit API change protest and made a post about it and started banning all users who commented against them/made fun of them.

a bigger drop in the bucket? let me reassure you, if these actions were really getting anywhere close to the real bottom line of Amazon, they would have taken action way sooner, is it scummy? yes, does it result in losses for an org like Amazon? yes, do they account for it while calculating their financial sheets/business plan? **** yes

That's the thing, real bottom line of amazon in India is much lower than in US because of hostile political condition (the big bad MNC threatening livelihoods of millions of honest hardworking offline small shops) so they won't be going after scammers like they do abroad unless it is 100% criminal case with something like this having international connections ( https://www.indiatoday.in/technolog...ooks-and-products-for-free-2474364-2023-12-11 ) or involvement of courier/warehouse personnel. Last thing amazon India wants is a twitter post tagging offline merchants union/groups & govt ministers mentioning how amazon dared to file a case against an Indian citizen for fraud with no clear evidence (as in clear enough to compel an Indian court to give final verdict in few weeks at max which as everyone knows is almost impossible) while looting Indian customers. Anyway, where do you think amazon India is losing so much money (Rs.4854 Crores in last FY) when not many "loot deals" are coming on amazon & typical discount is also not that much compared to offline/other ecomm websites. I am not saying that figure is mostly because of fraud but I still think that around 10-20% of that loss is coming from frauds.

Do you feel recently all GIF/BBD sales are providing lesser and lesser discounts? And charging platform/offer handling fees?
Well it is exactly because of the losses they have to bear because of such scammers.

Please don't feel the need to feel sorry for a trillion dollar company.

Especially when it is trying to buy up all homes in US, has space travel technology and overworks its employees.

The reduced discounts + increasing Prime subscription + ads/rentals within Prime is nothing but corporate greed.
